Caption transcript for “2016: The Year Ahead”

  • 00:18 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel
  • 00:22 is that they might be saved;
  • 00:25 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
  • 00:28 for the same LORD over all
  • 00:30 is rich unto all that call upon him.
  • 00:43 Shalom from the City of the great King, Jerusalem
  • 00:46 where we are blessed to bring you some previews
  • 00:49 of what's coming up in 2016.
  • 00:51 We love bringing you Christianity through Jewish eyes
  • 00:54 That's our tag line.
  • 00:56 And it's really true,
  • 00:57 the two destinies are coming together like never before.
  • 01:01 Jews and Christians are standing together
  • 01:04 in Him and in His Book.
  • 01:06 We hope you're enjoying our "Times of the Signs" series.
  • 01:09 We're so blessed to be able to interview some major prophetic
  • 01:13 voices in the Land and in the world
  • 01:16 regarding the stacking up or the quickening
  • 01:19 of the Biblical prophesies that being fulfilled in our time.
  • 01:22 We see Bible prophecy being fulfilled
  • 01:25 at a more rapid rate than any time in history.
  • 01:28 So let's go to some highlights right now
  • 01:30 from "Times of the Signs".
  • 02:29 There's something that's known as the "Blood Moon"
  • 02:32 And really a "Blood Moon" is just basically a lunar eclipse.
  • 02:35 It's when the earth comes between the sun
  • 02:39 and the moon is eclipsed during that period of time.
  • 02:42 And it kind of turns a reddish hue or kind of an orange hue
  • 02:46 and so it's called the "Blood Moon".
  • 02:48 That's a fairly common phenomenon when you have a lunar eclipse.
  • 02:53 But what happened in 2014, 2015
  • 02:56 is you had what is called a "Lunar Tetrad"
  • 02:58 where you had 4 of these Blood Moons
  • 03:00 in succession that fell on Jewish Feasts days.
  • 03:03 On April 15, 2014 was the Feast of Passover.
  • 03:08 And that Fall, October 8, 2014 was the Feast of Tabernacles.
  • 03:12 Then the next Spring on April 4, 2015 was another Blood Moon
  • 03:16 that fell on the Feast of Passover again.
  • 03:20 And then in the Fall on September 28, 2015
  • 03:23 we had another one on the Feast of Tabernacles.
  • 03:25 So many saw this as a great sign in the heavens
  • 03:29 because there has been
  • 03:31 some times in the past
  • 03:32 when significant events happened for Israel.
  • 03:35 Whenever people look at the Blood Moons
  • 03:37 one of the things they point out is this is a great cosmic sign,
  • 03:40 a great cosmic portent,
  • 03:41 something is happening.
  • 03:43 And it really deals with the nation of Israel
  • 03:46 because these Blood Moons are happening on these Feasts days.
  • 03:48 The difficulty with that is these Blood Moons that occurred in 2014 and 2015
  • 03:53 only the last one on September 28, 2015
  • 03:56 is even visible in Israel.
  • 03:58 Now some will respond to that and say
  • 04:00 well with 24-7 news today and satellites and all the things we have
  • 04:04 you know people can see it on television.
  • 04:06 But it seems odd to me that the people there in the place
  • 04:10 that this is supposed to be a portent for
  • 04:12 but they don't even see it with their own eyes.
  • 04:15 That seems strange to me.
  • 04:17 Because they'll go back and point to things like
  • 04:19 the star appearing to the Wise Men.
  • 04:21 But they actually saw it.
  • 04:23 And so to me, making this great sign for the nation of Israel
  • 04:27 when they could only see one of the four seems odd to me.
  • 04:30 So when things like this happen
  • 04:32 I think easy for prophecies like this to gain traction
  • 04:35 because people kind of have this sense already,
  • 04:38 a collective sense, that something big's about to happen.
  • 04:42 You know, Ecclesiastes 1:9
  • 04:45 tells us (Speaking Hebrew)
  • 04:52 And just today we see the same battle that we saw
  • 04:55 in times of Elijah and throughout the Bible
  • 04:58 between those who will follow the One, True God
  • 05:00 and everything other thing
  • 05:02 that exalts itself above the knowledge of God.
  • 05:03 For example,
  • 05:05 right now there is a lot of attention being paid to the
  • 05:07 Blood Moons and the signs in the heavens
  • 05:09 and that's a good thing
  • 05:10 because the dialogue is now off the Mayan Calendar
  • 05:13 and off of date setting
  • 05:15 and looking at the Bible to see what does Scripture say
  • 05:18 about what the heavens declare?
  • 05:21 And the fact is that God does speak through
  • 05:23 heavenly signs and wonders.
  • 05:25 Think about this...
  • 05:26 In the Tanack , in the Hebrew Scriptures,
  • 05:28 what we call the "Older Testament",
  • 05:30 You have the sign of the rainbow given to Noah in Genesis 9
  • 05:34 We have the sun standing still for Joshua
  • 05:36 so he could complete the battle before him in Joshua 10:13.
  • 05:41 God uses signs in the heavens to speak to us
  • 05:45 about what he's doing, where he is, where he's going
  • 05:48 and what he's asking of us.
  • 05:51 Even in Isaiah in chapter 38
  • 05:54 the sundial went backwards and gave Hezekiah extra time
  • 05:58 to live in order to complete his tasks here on the earth.
  • 06:03 And we know that God aligns the calendar
  • 06:07 in such a way as to present
  • 06:09 " Moadim " - "special times"
  • 06:11 for us to meet with him.
  • 06:13 So there's something about the sun, the moon and the stars,
  • 06:16 signs in the heavens.
  • 06:18 And here on top of the Carmel Range
  • 06:20 we know that Elijah fought the prophets of Baal
  • 06:23 because it was here in this area
  • 06:26 that the attack came against the purposes of God.
  • 06:31 And God won that battle
  • 06:33 just as he wants to win that battle in your life today.
  • 06:38 We get so wrapped up in this.
  • 06:39 Our society is so commercialized
  • 06:42 Yes
  • 06:43 How many advertising impressions do we see every day?
  • 06:46 We can't think outside that box anymore.
  • 06:50 And for Christians that means the danger is of them being ensnared.
  • 06:56 That's not where our perspective is supposed to be.
  • 06:58 That's why I think there is a rapture at some point.
  • 07:02 But we must not have our hearts fall prey
  • 07:07 to this environment that we're in right now.
  • 07:09 That's the greatest danger.
  • 07:11 What I found striking was
  • 07:13 there were a number of occasions
  • 07:15 where the exclusivity of Jesus Christ
  • 07:18 could have been on the tips of their tongues
  • 07:20 especially the Evangelical Christians,
  • 07:22 and nobody would say,
  • 07:24 nobody would bring up the fact
  • 07:27 that there is an exclusive truth claim
  • 07:29 that separates Christianity from the rest of the religious world.
  • 07:33 And that is Jesus Christ.
  • 07:34 Israel and America are not two.
  • 07:37 Israel and America are one.
  • 07:39 We have the same God, the same Bible.
  • 07:41 Messiah is a Jew from Israel.
  • 07:43 And all the greatness of America comes from its Christianity.
  • 07:47 I'm a Jew.
  • 07:49 And I'm saying all of America's greatness comes from its Christianity.
  • 07:51 This is a very significant opportunity in time share Yeshua
  • 07:57 with Jews, with Gentiles, with Arabs,
  • 08:02 whoever the LORD puts in front of you.
  • 08:04 Our Messiah is coming soon
  • 08:05 so let's be busy
  • 08:07 sharing the Gospel with those the LORD puts in front of us.
  • 08:12 You know I don't ignore
  • 08:14 the differences between Jews and Christians.
  • 08:17 There are theological differences
  • 08:19 that can't be ignored.
  • 08:21 And the question about the Messiah,
  • 08:25 will the Messiah be coming back
  • 08:27 or will the Messiah be coming?
  • 08:29 OK? Because you know there's some slight theological differences.
  • 08:34 But I have no doubt
  • 08:38 that when that prophecy is fulfilled from the Book of Isaiah
  • 08:43 that we are all going to be there together praying on God's Holy Mountain.
  • 08:51 This upcoming year
  • 08:52 we're going to see the encore of our series
  • 08:55 "Jerusalem: Ancient Gates Future Glory".
  • 08:58 And I have some amazing news for you.
  • 09:00 We've been contacted by the underground church of China.
  • 09:03 They have seen our series on the Gates and they want to use it
  • 09:06 to help awaken the west to the Church's work
  • 09:09 in missions to the Muslims
  • 09:11 and also their desire to come to Jerusalem.
  • 09:14 It's amazing that your gifts of funds

  • 21:39 because in the west we really don't see
  • 21:41 the life that is taking place here.
  • 21:43 That's why we call it "L'chaim" - "To Life".
  • 21:45 Because really what we get in the west
  • 21:48 is often just the bad news,
  • 21:50 the wars and the difficulties,
  • 21:52 the rumors of wars.
  • 21:53 The reality is life is ongoing here.
  • 21:56 People are excited, happy, looking forward.
  • 21:59 There is incredible innovation
  • 22:01 and the future is in view
  • 22:03 This is a Land of strength and life
  • 22:05 and we want to bring that to you
  • 22:07 while recognizing the difficulties
  • 22:09 that have brought this nation to be reborn.
  • 22:13 Just in the year 1941
  • 22:18 they begin to send Jews from the Middle East
  • 22:23 and they began to Poland
  • 22:28 And my cousins, they went in the 5th transportation to Poland.
  • 22:36 And they didn't come back,
  • 22:38 nobody from them.
  • 22:42 It was the sister from my mother and the sister from my father
  • 22:47 with the kids.
  • 22:49 They didn't come back anymore.
  • 22:53 How long were you in the camp before you were liberated?
  • 22:58 In Theresienstadt it was 2 and half years.
  • 23:04 In October 1944 they sent many, many people to Auschwitz.
  • 23:11 I don't know why
  • 23:15 but in this time we didn't know where we were going.
  • 23:21 They told us we were going to another ghetto
  • 23:26 because we have not space anymore in Thereseinstadt.
  • 23:33 But in this time how they sent us
  • 23:40 with a....
  • 23:46 It was a train for animals, not for people.
  • 23:57 In 1941 the German Army occupied Poland.
  • 24:04 Yes
  • 24:06 And immediately they made a demand that all the Jews
  • 24:14 would bring all their valuables to them, everything,
  • 24:17 anything of value, gold, anything, everything.
  • 24:22 And they were already with the rifles
  • 24:25 so you cannot talk to rifles, you know?
  • 24:32 So all the Jews brought their things.
  • 24:35 And then what they did, they sent wagons to all the homes
  • 24:38 and got everything else plus all the Jews to take them to a ghetto.
  • 24:44 But the locals chose 5 families...
  • 24:51 5 or 6 families to do work.
  • 24:56 It's like the better Jews.
  • 24:59 There's no such thing as "good Jew" but maybe the better ones
  • 25:02 that are very professional, they have good relations with them.
  • 25:05 So we put the 5 or 6 families in a small ghetto in the edge of town.
  • 25:14 So the Christians in the town chose your family as a family not to be sent away.
  • 25:23 Not to proceed to the ghetto.
  • 25:25 Wow...hmm
  • 25:27 Miracle one.
  • 25:30 Miracle ten.
  • 25:33 Miracle a hundred.
  • 25:35 I am a living miracle.
  • 25:37 Yes
  • 25:38 And I still live on miracles.
  • 25:42 That I'm here talking to you is also a miracle.
  • 25:44 Yes
  • 25:46 Myles, it's such a joy to be here in this Land.
  • 25:48 We are here at the Feast of Tabernacles.
  • 25:50 And you can feel the joy in this place.
  • 25:53 And it is our joy to bring you
  • 25:55 programs that are filmed here, that are based here,
  • 25:59 that are based in the Word.
  • 26:01 And we thank you that it's because of your gifts of funds
  • 26:04 and your partnership with us
  • 26:05 that we are able to do this.
  • 26:07 Yeah, you know we are going to do a series in the coming year
  • 26:11 that is about remembering the holocaust
  • 26:14 and looking at the future of Israel
  • 26:16 and the goodness of God and his restoration.
  • 26:18 It's so important when we interviewed the survivors
  • 26:21 at a holocaust home here in Israel.
  • 26:24 The depth of their suffering
  • 26:26 and yet the emerging of life is so dramatic.
  • 26:30 It really is a picture of Israel itself.
  • 26:32 Right, you know it is our privilege and our duty to remember,
  • 26:36 to remember the suffering that happened in the holocaust
  • 26:39 and to record it for the next generation.
  • 26:42 And we thank you that you have enabled us to do that.
  • 26:45 And you have enabled us to go and to document these stories
  • 26:50 so that they get put into the annals of time.
  • 26:53 Yes, really that's true.
  • 26:55 We want to remember the suffering
  • 26:56 but we want to look forward to the joy of the LORD.
  • 26:59 And I'd like to end this program by blessing you
  • 27:02 with a blessing that goes back to the time of Moses and Aaron.
  • 27:05 You know, God told Moses to have Aaron stand before the people
  • 27:09 and whenever this blessing is spoken
  • 27:11 that he would put His Name upon the people.
  • 27:14 And I believe that he wants to do that today.
  • 27:15 He wants to place His Name on you.
  • 27:18 So receive this not from Myles
  • 27:20 but from the Land from the LORD.
  • 27:24 (Myles sings "Aaronic Blessing")
  • 27:47 "The LORD bless you and keep you"
  • 27:49 "The LORD be gracious unto you"
  • 27:50 "cause his face to shine upon you"
  • 27:53 "The LORD lift up his countenance upon you"
  • 27:55 "And grant you his Shalom "
  • 27:58 B'Shem Yeshua Hamashiach Amen.
