• 00:45 I'm Myles Weiss.
• 00:46 And I'm Katharine Weiss
• 00:47 and we have a very special program today.
• 00:50 You're going to hear from the next generation
• 00:52 and their point of view of how they view Israel
• 00:55 and the importance of it.
• 00:57 Yeah, this is really important to us
• 00:58 because as parents and the older generation
• 01:01 it's really important to us to see that the
• 01:03 millennials and those that are younger are
• 01:06 coming up with the understanding of the centrality of Israel,
• 01:09 regarding Christianity and Jewish life.
• 01:12 And especially when we see the attack that
• 01:14 is coming today on American campuses
• 01:17 and against the Word of God,
• 01:18 against the return of the Jews to Israel.
• 01:22 We really want to be part of the being with
• 01:25 the next generation as they express their
• 01:27 love for God and for the Jewish people.
• 01:29 So we're going to hear from some voices out of Israel today,
• 01:33 Messianics and we're starting with Joshua Aaron.
• 01:36 Joshua is a musician.
• 01:37 And music tells a story of a generation.
• 01:39 So let's go to my interview with
• 01:41 Joshua Aaron on location in Israel.
• 01:48 Joshua, thank you so much for being with us today.
• 01:50 Thanks so much for having me.
• 01:52 I'm so excited about your music
• 01:53 but our people back home are
• 01:55 going to be thrilled that you are able to come on the program.
• 01:57 How long have you been making Messianic Music?
• 01:59 About 6 years full time all in.
• 02:02 And some of your music has
• 02:04 incredible breath of touch on the Internet.
• 02:07 Tell us about that.
• 02:08 Well I'm just thanking God for Youtube.
• 02:12 In 2009 we put out an album called " Bo Yeshua "
• 02:16 Which I didn't think it would grow to any level.
• 02:19 I just did it for a local body
• 02:21 just to share about Israel through song.
• 02:24 And then people were requesting the CD.
• 02:25 And I thought, Well, let's put that on ITunes and see what happens.
• 02:28 And then before I knew it
• 02:29 I started traveling the United States
• 02:32 and then the nations.
• 02:35 It kept moving from there.
• 02:35 for our viewers,
• 02:37 " Bo Yeshua ", "Come Yeshua"
• 02:39 "Come Yeshua"
• 02:40 And a lot of your music is really about
• 02:42 the 2nd coming of the LORD isn't it?
• 02:44 Yes, honestly I keep asking God,
• 02:46 Can I write about something else?
• 02:48 Because it's all I keep thinking about
• 02:50 is about Him coming back.
• 02:52 But where I live now in northern Israel,
• 02:55 my house faces directly south in the Galilee.
• 02:58 And I just keep asking, Can I just see -
• 03:01 will I be here and see Him come down over Jerusalem
• 03:04 and land on the Mount of Olives?
• 03:06 Will I see the sky part?
• 03:07 I was just at Ikea and it's orthodox guys,
• 03:12 Messiah's coming soon, Messiah's coming soon!
• 03:14 Yes, yes, He is, I know He's coming.
• 03:17 You could feel it.
• 03:20 Even those who don't know He's coming for the 2nd time,
• 03:24 you can feel it here in Israel, He's coming soon.
• 03:28 I have an orthodox friend in Shiloh.
• 03:29 He's says, if you're right, I'll be like this.
• 03:33 If I'm right you'll be like this.
• 03:35 We're both going to see Him come.
• 03:36 That's right!
• 03:37 That's a new day.
• 03:39 So you're music touches everyone.
• 03:41 A very wide breath of touch around the world.
• 03:45 I saw the video, it's your daughter
• 03:48 looking for the return of the Lord with you.
• 03:51 How did that unfold?
• 03:52 And how did you make that video?
• 03:54 A a good friend of mine, Michael Hilsden,
• 03:56 he's a great video guy here in the Land.
• 03:59 We were just kind of sketching it out and
• 04:01 wanted to depict it as a child waiting for the father.
• 04:05 Although with the bride, He's our father,
• 04:08 Just that reunion.
• 04:10 Kind of like, if you watch the video,
• 04:12 it's her looking for me
• 04:13 and at the end she finds us.

• 07:47 knowing the truth about Yeshua ,
• 07:49 and the truth about Israel.
• 07:51 Tell us about that.
• 07:52 How are you seeing...
• 07:54 is there a change coming?
• 07:55 Are our kids awakening?
• 07:57 Is there something happening with the younger people?
• 07:59 Well from my angle it could be -
• 08:01 in Israel often the exciting part for me
• 08:04 is first of all, I think maybe most of
• 08:06 the viewers might know that in Israel today
• 08:09 this is the most believers we've had since the book of Acts.
• 08:12 The cool part of that is some of these now
• 08:15 are 2nd, 3rd generation believers
• 08:17 being born and raised here.
• 08:20 So I think with that comes this indigenous
• 08:22 connection that we've never had before.
• 08:24 So I think this is a season where our
• 08:27 younger believers are really beginning to grab on.
• 08:29 And it's their own.
• 08:31 It's not something that is brand new,
• 08:32 it's something they were raised with.
• 08:34 And think that's going to be something that starts a wave.
• 08:37 I think you are right.
• 08:38 And I've heard that when the music becomes indigenous
• 08:41 when the music comes up out of the people
• 08:44 because of that generational change
• 08:46 keep your eyes open because
• 08:49 great things will happen.
• 08:50 And so now there's this music like
• 08:53 yours and others that are coming up out of the Land.
• 08:56 Yep, out of Zion.
• 08:57 WOW
• 08:58 So tell us what projects are coming up for you.
• 09:00 What do you have planned?
• 09:02 I've got another album coming up,
• 09:03 some interesting songs,
• 09:05 I love them all.

• 09:10 it's always a variety of styles.

• 09:25 We have close friends that's leaders in America.

• 09:29 So who is this person by the way?

• 09:34 So we've got some good stuff happening.
• 09:37 I've been just trying different things.
• 09:39 I like to play the ukulele.
• 09:41 And there's a lot of songs that...
• 09:42 I kind of moved from that solemn state season to
• 09:45 these songs that just make you smile
• 09:47 or make you look to the heavens
• 09:49 Amen
• 09:51 and stomp your feet.
• 09:52 I hear that in your music
• 09:54 and that's what captivated me.
• 09:55 When our friends heard that I was interviewing you
• 09:57 they were thrilled
• 09:59 because they also see that expectancy in your music.
• 10:05 Yeshua 's coming.
• 10:06 He's coming.
• 10:07 It's inevitable.
• 10:09 So your were raised with the knowledge of Yeshua ?
• 10:11 Or did you have a personal moment in time
• 10:13 as a teenager or young person
• 10:15 where the lights all went on?
• 10:18 I was raised with the knowledge.
• 10:20 I was the youngest of 5.
• 10:22 I was born right after they accepted the LORD.
• 10:24 So I was raised with the knowledge
• 10:26 but at 5 years old I had a very clear...
• 10:29 I had a vision beforehand.
• 10:31 I saw a demon, actually.
• 10:34 And I had to close my eyes and run past it
• 10:37 because it was at my doorway staring at me.
• 10:40 And I don't know how to explain it
• 10:42 other than it looked like Darth Maul from Star Wars.
• 10:45 This is before I even knew what Darth Maul...
• 10:48 I'm not sure if they even wrote him into the script at that point yet.
• 10:50 But I remember running to my parents bedroom crying
• 10:53 and trying to explain to them what I saw.
• 10:55 And they just wrote it off.
• 10:57 But it was... I only had 2 visions in my life
• 10:59 and it was really clear as day.
• 11:01 It just brought the reality of the spiritual realm.
• 11:03 And I was afraid that if Messiah came back,
• 11:06 cause at that time they were watching the end time movies
• 11:09 and all that stuff - "Left Behind" and such.
• 11:11 And I had older siblings and I think I watched some of the movie and
• 11:15 I just remember being scared to death
• 11:18 that I was going to miss it.
• 11:19 You had to get right at 5.
• 11:21 Oh yeah, I had to get right.
• 11:22 So I'm like - I kept asking my Dad,
• 11:23 is he coming in the clouds, is he coming in the clouds?
• 11:25 like I was afraid I was going to miss it.
• 11:27 You know the movies,
• 11:28 that the trumpet would sound and
• 11:30 the clothes were would fall perfectly to the floor
• 11:32 and everyone was gone accept the one person.
• 11:34 That scared the pants off me.
• 11:37 And one day my Dad asked me, do you want to know for sure?
• 11:40 And I said, Yeah, I do.
• 11:41 WOW
• 11:42 And I accepted him
• 11:43 and literally after that,
• 11:44 that day, that next day
• 11:45 I started making up little songs about him.
• 11:47 Just making up little songs.
• 11:48 I didn't think anybody cared.
• 11:49 God cared.
• 11:51 Yeah, I guess so, I guess so.
• 11:53 And I've been singing about Him every since.
• 11:55 And I've never been afraid about missing it ever since, either.
• 11:57 [laughing]
• 11:59 That's a great, great story.
• 12:00 So we're looking forward to having

• 13:56 that Israel is 85 miles wide,
• 13:58 but 50 centuries deep.
• 14:00 And every time we go we get a
• 14:02 little bit deeper in the Word of God.

• 14:05 We are watching in our campuses across America some of the
• 14:10 most awful anti-Zionist movements in history really.
• 14:14 They're surfacing especially in the "BDS" movement,
• 14:18 which is Boycott, Divest and Sanction.
• 14:20 That is a way of encouraging
• 14:22 Institutions, businesses, banks, universities to no longer invest...
• 14:27 first it was in the West Bank,
• 14:29 the mountains of Israel, the Heart of Israel
• 14:32 and now all of Israel.
• 14:34 Trying to stop the economic wonder that Israel is.
• 14:36 And the problem with that is not only that it's wrong
• 14:38 and prejudicial and anti-Semitic,
• 14:42 it hurts the Palestinian Arabs
• 14:44 because they are employed by and
• 14:46 prospering by the prosperity in Israel.
• 14:49 They have more prosperity in Israel
• 14:50 than they do under any of the Muslim regimes.
• 14:54 So we're just excited to see this group of
• 14:57 young people representing the next generation.
• 14:59 And we're excited that you're going
• 15:01 to hear from our son,
• 15:03 who actually on his college campus
• 15:04 took a stand for Israel
• 15:06 and he was able to be a voice.
• 15:08 So let's go now and hear from Jonathan Weiss.
• 15:15 This tiny nation has been in your headlines for the past 70 years.
• 15:18 Is it just a political issue?
• 15:20 Or is it a part of some giant cosmic plan?
• 15:30 And whose causing all the trouble over there?
• 15:35 And why is there such a
• 15:36 disproportionate worldwide focus
• 15:39 on this tiny nation
• 15:41 smaller than the State of New Jersey?
• 15:44 My friends ask me,
• 15:47 I know this, we can't just trust every tweet, post,
• 15:51 or Kardashian quote trending through our news feed.
• 15:58 Are there in fact, historical documents
• 16:02 and archaeological sites
• 16:03 that reveal the truth
• 16:05 about this very ancient, yet very modern land?
• 16:09 Our generation needs a definitive truth and hope.
• 16:20 We are very understandably very proud of our son,
• 16:22 both of our sons.
• 16:23 They've been raised with this understanding about Jewish life,
• 16:27 the connection with the church and the importance of Israel.
• 16:30 But we really want them to have the hope for the future.
• 16:33 And that hope of course is primarily
• 16:35 in Yeshua HaMashiach , Jesus Christ.
• 16:38 And that's the answer to his question,
• 16:39 it's hope and that there is a great hope.
• 16:42 And these 3 things abide, faith, hope and love.
• 16:46 And just because the world is going fast into a decline,
• 16:51 it doesn't mean that the kingdom of heaven
• 16:53 and the people that are part of that
• 16:56 are supposed to have even more so hope, faith and love.
• 16:59 So let's go now and here more from the next generation
• 17:03 of their view of what they're seeing in Israel.
• 17:09 Yosi, you are a native Israel Sabra.
• 17:11 What part of Israel did you grow up in?
• 17:13 I grew up actually in Matiyahu area
• 17:17 That's like kibbutz- Moshav area.
• 17:20 And then I moved to Jerusalem at the age of twelve.
• 17:23 And you are working in media and you are-
• 17:26 We're sitting here outside the pavilion
• 17:29 of King of Kings.
• 17:30 And you just have a journey of faith.
• 17:32 Can you tell me a little bit about that?
• 17:33 Well actually at the age of 16 I
• 17:36 basically fell from my faith,
• 17:38 didn't believe it anymore.
• 17:40 During the army period
• 17:41 I started believing again.
• 17:43 I came to a point where
• 17:44 I was really stressed and really broken
• 17:47 and I asked God to come back into my life - intervene.
• 17:50 So basically it took about maybe 2 weeks.
• 17:54 I was really reading the Bible everyday
• 17:57 and having a good time.
• 17:58 If you have a message for American young people
• 18:02 what would you say to them?
• 18:04 Just be ready to hear God in the storm.
• 18:08 Just listen to him.
• 18:10 And do you feel that's there's a certain way we
• 18:13 can stand with Israel
• 18:15 or anything our viewers can know about standing
• 18:17 with the young people in Israel?
• 18:19 Well, basically Israel is about to face
• 18:21 a lot of hard times that are coming ahead.
• 18:24 The main thing you can do is
• 18:26 keep talking to your neighbors,
• 18:27 keep talking positive about Israel.
• 18:29 and basically the more support we have
• 18:32 the more we can give.
• 18:34 Jamie we're here outside the pavilion
• 18:36 where the King of Kings meets.
• 18:37 We were here Sunday night.
• 18:39 You did a great job of leading worship, thank you.
• 18:40 Thank you.
• 18:41 You're working as a worship leader
• 18:44 but you're also involved with reconciliations.
• 18:46 Tell us about that.
• 18:48 Well my role at King of Kings
• 18:50 is the young adults director
• 18:52 and the music director.
• 18:53 In our young adults we have
• 18:55 mostly international young adults but we
• 18:57 also have Jewish and Arab people who attend the group.
• 19:00 But I also work with some reconciliation ministries
• 19:04 especially to promote worship events
• 19:06 that are both in Hebrew and Arabic.
• 19:08 I find music is always a really powerful tool
• 19:11 to unite people and to just kind of get the tension down
• 19:14 and to get people at least in the same room worshipping together
• 19:17 and just changing the atmosphere so that
• 19:18 there can be a little bit more dialogue
• 19:20 Just to see like last year we had a
• 19:23 worship event just to see like Arab believers
• 19:26 like getting up on the shoulders of a Jewish person
• 19:29 and dancing around like a wedding.
• 19:31 To me just seeing that kind of an atmosphere.
• 19:34 I don't think our viewers really understand
• 19:37 that' there's a movement here in Israel
• 19:39 for Jews and Arabs, especially young people
• 19:41 to worship together and to come to know each other.
• 19:44 And you know to be honest
• 19:46 I wish it was more prevalent than it is right now.
• 19:49 Right now I'm seeing seeds here and there.
• 19:52 And I wish it was more prevalent
• 19:54 but I see it happening more and more
• 19:57 and it's just exciting to see people even
• 20:00 being willing to sing in
• 20:02 the "language of your enemy", quote unquote.
• 20:04 Yeah
• 20:06 It's an amazing thing to see.
• 20:07 Some people might say today that the promises are over
• 20:11 for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
• 20:13 The promises are done away.
• 20:14 Do you have anything that you want to share about that?
• 20:16 It's not over.
• 20:17 Not over.
• 20:18 I think it includes everyone,
• 20:20 not just the Jewish people as well,
• 20:21 but everyone who accepts Yeshua as the Savior
• 20:25 is part of it.
• 20:27 Abraham was the father of faith,
• 20:29 Yes
• 20:30 And that promise went to all nations.
• 20:32 Started with Abraham,
• 20:33 went through Isaac and Jacob
• 20:35 and also including Esau.
• 20:36 You know, we've really been emphasizing that
• 20:38 God has a destiny for the Arab people
• 20:41 and our message is love.
• 20:43 Yes, exactly.
• 20:44 I know yours is too.
• 20:46 So do you work here in Israel?
• 20:47 I work as security.
• 20:50 It's good experience
• 20:52 and it's also I think an opportunity
• 20:54 for me to share more about the love of God
• 20:57 to both Jewish and the Arab nation.
• 21:00 I also am loving the Arab nation as well.
• 21:03 I have many friends and I try to share as much as I can.
• 21:07 That is awesome.
• 21:08 Do you have any message for America,
• 21:11 how we could stand for Israel
• 21:13 or pray for the believers here in the Land?
• 21:15 Yeah, is to keep us in your prayers and
• 21:20 that we would be more willing to
• 21:23 love our enemies as well because
• 21:25 it's an odd situation
• 21:27 and we're like on both sides
• 21:29 and we don't know who to really follow the most
• 21:33 and we're always remembering that
• 21:35 in the Bible it is written
• 21:37 that we should love our enemies as well.
• 21:38 So we do need prayer of that
• 21:41 and that actually we will be one.
• 21:43 So...

• 25:33 But I just invite you to look to the heavens
• 25:36 and look to Israel
• 25:37 because He's not coming to America,
• 25:39 He's not coming to Europe,
• 25:40 He's coming to this specific country.
• 25:42 And I believe that He's coming very soon.
• 25:44 And there are now thousands in this land saying,
• 25:46 Baruch HaBa B'Shem Adonai
• 25:49 Even Messiah Himself said,
• 25:50 You will not see me until you say, in Jerusalem He said,
• 25:53 until you say, Baruch HaBa B'Shem Adonai
• 25:57 So my prayer is that you will pray
• 25:59 and encourage others to shout that out,
• 26:02 "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord."
• 26:04 And pray for Israel that they would come to know and understand
• 26:07 that Messiah, Yeshua, is not coming back for the first time.
• 26:11 He's coming back again for the second time
• 26:13 as a conquering King.
• 26:15 And the phrase is, " Bo Yeshua "- "Come Yeshua "
• 26:22 Yeshua came first as a Lamb
• 26:24 but now He's coming as a Lion.
• 26:26 And you can hear it in Joshua's voice.
• 26:28 I mean, He is returning
• 26:30 as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
• 26:32 Hallelujah, this is a really good message.
• 26:34 And we want that excitement and that
• 26:35 forward look for all people of the next generation.
• 26:38 It's so amazing to hear what's going on in Israel,
• 26:41 to hear from these young people.
• 26:42 It's probably the most encouraging message we can get
• 26:44 because we labor for them.
• 26:47 We want them to pick up the baton.
• 26:49 We want them to know that there's hope in Yeshua ,
• 26:51 there's a future with Him
• 26:53 and that He will settle issues.
• 26:55 He is Sar Shalom , the Prince of Peace.
• 26:58 He really is the solution for the Middle East.
• 27:01 And that's what we're reaching for.
• 27:02 It's great to hear these young people.
• 27:04 And it's wonderful to see Davids arising.
• 27:06 You know, psalmists that are singing the song of the Lord
• 27:09 and standing for what the Lord wants them to stand for
• 27:13 even like David did in the face of the Goliaths today.
• 27:17 Yes, it's a very encouraging message.
• 27:19 And we hope you're encouraged today.
• 27:21 We hope that you are catching the vision
• 27:23 for reaching the next generation
• 27:25 from hearing from them
• 27:27 because that's what we want to do.
