Caption transcript for “New series and new faces”

  • 00:11 Brethren, my heart's desire
  • 00:14 and prayer to God for Israel
  • 00:16 is that they might be saved
  • 00:18 for there is no difference
  • 00:20 between the Jew and the Greek
  • 00:21 for the same Lord over all
  • 00:23 is rich unto all that call upon Him.
  • 00:35 Hello, I'm Wayne Fornier
  • 00:37 and I've been a supporter of Zola Levitt Ministries
  • 00:40 for many years now.
  • 00:42 I'm here today to talk about some exciting
  • 00:45 changes we have in the ministry ahead.
  • 00:47 And here to help me with that
  • 00:50 is the Executive Director of Zola Levitt Ministries.
  • 00:54 And he just happens to be Zola's son.
  • 00:57 Mark Levitt, thanks for being with us in the studio today.
  • 00:59 Hi Wayne, thanks for being here.
  • 01:02 When I joined the ministry in 1988
  • 01:04 it had already been operating for about 10 years
  • 01:06 and it began in the 70's.
  • 01:09 Zola was on the radio with "Heart of the Matter"
  • 01:12 You saw the ministry start from the
  • 01:14 very beginning in Zola's house.
  • 01:16 You were there with him and
  • 01:18 you saw everything right from the start.
  • 01:20 That's right.
  • 01:21 He typed a little study booklet that we sell now,
  • 01:23 "The Miracle of Passover".
  • 01:25 "The Seven Feasts of Israel"
  • 01:26 "A Christian Love Story"
  • 01:27 on an IBM Selectric working in a temporary house in our back yard.
  • 01:30 So you saw it and helped him
  • 01:32 and I guess it was natural for you to get into the ministry.
  • 01:36 He began on the radio first though before television.
  • 01:39 That's right.
  • 01:40 It was a call-in program called
  • 01:42 "The Heart of the Matter".
  • 01:43 In fact, this program was called "Zola Levitt Live"
  • 01:46 initially because it was taped virtually live.
  • 01:48 And I was trying to think the other day
  • 01:52 how many television programs did Zola make?
  • 01:56 Well he was on from 79 to 2006
  • 02:00 so that's hundreds and hundreds.
  • 02:01 Quite a few.
  • 02:02 That's right.
  • 02:04 He was the first Jewish Christian television ministry.
  • 02:07 That's right.
  • 02:08 And he met so many people in Israel
  • 02:12 and interviewed them on location
  • 02:14 and brought so many lessons to the television screen.
  • 02:16 Yeah, I believe he was the first one to take us to Israel, for sure.
  • 02:19 And then sadly, Zola did pass away.
  • 02:23 Well, he graduated to heaven and then
  • 02:25 we had some new spokes people step into his shoes.
  • 02:27 Dr. Jeff Seif came in.
  • 02:29 That's right.
  • 02:30 Along with Zola's widow - Sandra.
  • 02:32 And I think one of the reasons Jeff was so instrumental was
  • 02:37 because he worked with Zola,
  • 02:38 collaborated on that big work,
  • 02:41 The Institute of Jewish Christian Studies
  • 02:43 That's right.
  • 02:44 It's a correspondence course.
  • 02:45 People take all 12 courses
  • 02:47 over a period of about a year.
  • 02:48 And then they get a diploma with
  • 02:50 their name in calligraphy
  • 02:51 when they graduate.
  • 02:52 That's one of the ways I was
  • 02:54 introduced to the ministry as well too.
  • 02:56 I started taking that course.
  • 02:57 I loved that.
  • 02:59 Now Jeff Seif was with us for how long?
  • 03:01 For 5 years.
  • 03:02 Okay, and then of course after Jeff, Myles and Katharine.
  • 03:06 That's right and they've been with us for 6 years.
  • 03:08 And the tours continue.
  • 03:10 The Institute continues.
  • 03:11 And you can see everything on our website levitt.com
  • 03:14 And now we're adding new people to the team.
  • 03:17 That's right.
  • 03:19 Yes, as a matter of fact,
  • 03:21 some exciting changes ahead
  • 03:23 in Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 03:25 And we're going to be talking about that in just a minute.
  • 03:28 But first we want you to see scenes
  • 03:31 from a new series that we're working on.
  • 03:34 A series that focuses on the miraculous birth
  • 03:37 and the ministry of Yeshua here on earth
  • 03:41 and the fact that today He is calling
  • 03:43 people to Him to draw near.
  • 03:46 Let's take a look at this right now.
  • 03:58 Not long ago, our first encounter
  • 04:00 on the waters of the Galilee.
  • 04:02 My hand is completely restored.
  • 04:04 He said, Your faith has saved you.
  • 04:07 I've heard Yeshua speak in our synagogue.
  • 04:11 He talked about the Kingdom of God.
  • 04:14 Then He showed us His wounds in His hands and feet.
  • 04:17 I believe He really is a King.
  • 04:28 Some people have always believed in the promises
  • 04:31 that are in this Book.
  • 04:33 Some people have believed before the Book was written.
  • 04:36 We're here in the desert.
  • 04:37 Desert Mid bar .
  • 04:39 One of the root words for the word "to speak".
  • 04:42 And it's here that God speaks.
  • 04:44 It's here in the loneliness
  • 04:46 in the solitude and the quiet
  • 04:47 that the God of all Creation spoke,
  • 04:51 called Abraham from here.
  • 04:53 Think about what this place means to God.
  • 04:55 It's a place where we become dependent on Him.
  • 05:00 I just think about this place.
  • 05:03 The modern world is intruding,
  • 05:05 the sound in the background.
  • 05:07 But if you listen carefully,
  • 05:08 the sound of the waves,
  • 05:10 this look of the sea
  • 05:13 is exactly the way it was 2,000 years ago.
  • 05:17 It's such a privilege to be here, to bring you here
  • 05:20 to speak about the miracles of Yeshua .
  • 05:25 We had been fishing all night.
  • 05:28 Waste of time.
  • 05:31 We were hungry...tired.
  • 05:33 Just wanted to go home.
  • 05:36 Then Simone Peter motions us for help.
  • 05:39 His net is broken
  • 05:40 and his boat was sinking
  • 05:42 with more fish than it could handle.
  • 05:44 So I brought my boat close to his to help.
  • 05:47 But the catch was so big
  • 05:49 that my boat began sinking too.
  • 05:53 I tell you, I've been fishing here on the Galilee
  • 05:56 my whole life.
  • 05:59 Never seen anything like it.
  • 06:03 Never.
  • 06:05 It turns out Yeshua ben Yosef ,
  • 06:08 the son of Joseph,
  • 06:10 he was the one who told Peter where to drop his nets.
  • 06:13 The exact spot.
  • 06:16 And then he tells him that he would catch...men.
  • 06:23 Strange...
  • 06:25 I don't know what he meant by that.
  • 06:27 But Peter and the Sons of Zebedee
  • 06:30 they seemed changed by the whole thing.
  • 06:33 Transformed somehow.
  • 06:42 I heard Yeshua attends our synagogue.
  • 06:47 Next time he's there
  • 06:53 I'll be there.
  • 06:55 I want to know more.
  • 07:01 Well as you can see
  • 07:02 this is going to be and exciting new series.
  • 07:05 And joining me now in the studio
  • 07:08 are a couple of new faces that you're
  • 07:09 going to be seeing in the coming weeks and months.
  • 07:11 May I introduce Dave and Kirsten Hart.
  • 07:14 Welcome to Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 07:15 Hi Wayne
  • 07:16 Thank you!
  • 07:17 We're thrilled to be here.
  • 07:18 We're thrilled and we're so honored.
  • 07:20 Thank you very much.
  • 07:21 We're thrilled to have you here
  • 07:22 joining our team.
  • 07:24 Let me ask you...
  • 07:25 We want to find out about you
  • 07:27 but the first thing I'd like to ask,
  • 07:28 How did you come to faith in Yeshua?
  • 07:30 Do you want me to start?
  • 07:31 Go ahead.
  • 07:32 I am a PK...
  • 07:34 a Pastor's son.
  • 07:35 Wayne - That explains a lot!
  • 07:37 And you may have heard about us.
  • 07:38 It's true what they say
  • 07:40 that we're the worst kids.
  • 07:41 Cause we hang out with the Deacon's kids all the time.
  • 07:44 You know that.
  • 07:45 I at age 12 became a Christian
  • 07:48 through my Sunday School teacher.
  • 07:50 And she prayed the prayer with me and
  • 07:53 I'm so thankful that...
  • 07:55 I've had a lot of Sunday School Teachers growing up
  • 07:57 but she was the one that I remember out of any other names.
  • 08:00 And she was just a great teacher.
  • 08:03 God always seems to use one particular person to lead us to Him.
  • 08:07 Yes.
  • 08:08 He does...and I was younger than you.
  • 08:09 I was in kindergarten.
  • 08:10 I was ready
  • 08:12 [All laughing]
  • 08:13 And at that time in kindergarten
  • 08:14 I asked Jesus into my heart
  • 08:16 before I knew His name was actually Yeshua.
  • 08:18 So we're learning.
  • 08:20 And I remember even in elementary school
  • 08:22 we lived in Princeton, New Jersey.
  • 08:25 We'd go to the Princeton Theological Seminary for Passover Seder.
  • 08:29 So I remember doing that just as a young girl.
  • 08:32 And of course when you have to eat the bitters
  • 08:34 it was....uhhh!
  • 08:36 But that's kind of some of my background.
  • 08:38 We're so thankful too that we grew up in the church.
  • 08:40 We have that heritage of growing up
  • 08:42 as little kids every time the doors were open.
  • 08:44 Your Mom was the Organist.
  • 08:46 Right
  • 08:47 My Dad was the Preacher.
  • 08:48 My father led music.
  • 08:49 So we're Church babies.
  • 08:51 So to be clear, did you grow up in the same church?
  • 08:54 We didn't believe it or not.
  • 08:56 I grew up in New Jersey, so I'm East Coast.
  • 08:59 I'm Southern California.
  • 09:00 Wayne - alright.
  • 09:02 God brought us together.
  • 09:03 So there had to be something
  • 09:05 happening there to get you together.
  • 09:07 And actually we met in the middle of the country
  • 09:09 So we joined a group...
  • 09:10 or your were the vocal director
  • 09:12 for a group called "Eternity"
  • 09:13 based out of Austin.
  • 09:14 So different coasts and we come...
  • 09:16 We tell people that we met in Eternity.
  • 09:18 So you two are definitely singers.
  • 09:20 This is all coming to fruition now
  • 09:23 Part of our ministry - yes.
  • 09:24 Yes.
  • 09:26 Wow...
  • 09:27 Can't wait to hear you sing sometime.
  • 09:28 But that'll be for another time.
  • 09:30 More about your ministry and your faith now...please?
  • 09:33 You're a minister of music in a church.
  • 09:36 I am.
  • 09:37 I lead full time at a church and
  • 09:40 also do some singing in Branson and...
  • 09:43 Wayne - Branson, Missouri.
  • 09:44 That's where you live now.
  • 09:45 Yes we do.
  • 09:47 And I speak for women's conferences
  • 09:50 so I'm out on weekends and do women's retreats and conferences
  • 09:52 and speak at churches also.
  • 09:54 Wayne - so you both lead pretty busy lives.
  • 09:56 Thank you for joining us on Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 09:59 We've got a lot with this new series
  • 10:02 "Close Encounters with Yeshua"
  • 10:04 that you're going to be working on that
  • 10:05 and so many more too.
  • 10:07 It's a great new series.
  • 10:08 We have a lot more with Dave and Kirsten
  • 10:11 when we come back.
  • 10:15 Our offer on this program
  • 10:17 "Sons of Israel"
  • 10:19 3 DVDs featuring the teaching of Zola Levitt
  • 10:22 on location in Israel.
  • 10:24 This 9 part series chronicles
  • 10:26 the fascinating lives of
  • 10:28 some of God's key men
  • 10:30 from Abraham, Moses and David
  • 10:33 to the Messiah and the Apostles.
  • 10:36 An informative and
  • 10:37 stunningly beautiful history
  • 10:39 of the people God chose
  • 10:41 and the special men among them
  • 10:43 that He used for His purposes.
  • 10:46 A 9 part series on 3 DVDs
  • 10:49 "Sons of Israel"
  • 10:53 Shalom, it's good to see you.
  • 10:54 We are bringing you quality programming from Israel
  • 10:57 Christianity through Jewish eyes.
  • 10:59 Thank you for your donations and your support.
  • 11:01 We need you to partner with us.
  • 11:03 We are so grateful for your prayers
  • 11:05 and your financial giving to this ministry.
  • 11:07 It enables us to bring you to Israel with us
  • 11:10 and bring Israel to you.
  • 11:12 So, thanks again.
  • 11:39 For more information on our next tour to Israel call...
  • 11:45 Zola Tours to Israel...
  • 11:47 It is the trip of a lifetime.
  • 11:50 And joining me in the studio today
  • 11:52 are Dave and Kirsten Hart.
  • 11:53 And I understand that your son
  • 11:55 lives and works in Israel.
  • 11:56 He does, our youngest is Ryan.
  • 11:58 We have a 25 year old named Tyler who's married
  • 12:02 and we have a grandchild with him.
  • 12:03 But our youngest just moved to Jerusalem in August.
  • 12:07 He is video production specialist with
  • 12:09 International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem.
  • 12:12 The ICEJ!
  • 12:13 Yes!
  • 12:14 So whenever you see videos coming out
  • 12:16 on the website or on the Internet
  • 12:19 it's all our son, our baby.
  • 12:21 He's been there since August.
  • 12:22 Yes, and he will be there for 2 years.
  • 12:24 Alright, so I'm sure his work is very interesting.
  • 12:27 It is!
  • 12:28 He's on location all the time.
  • 12:30 And we were just with him.
  • 12:31 Just about every day.
  • 12:32 Yeah.
  • 12:33 And you've been there obviously to see him
  • 12:35 so tell us about your trips to Israel.
  • 12:37 We actually just got back for our 2nd Tour.
  • 12:39 And it's like you said.
  • 12:41 It's a trip of a lifetime
  • 12:43 and we can't wait to go back again
  • 12:45 and take a bunch of friends with us.
  • 12:47 So you've seen all the spots.
  • 12:48 I don't think so.
  • 12:50 I think we missed Masada.
  • 12:52 We missed Masada because it was raining.
  • 12:54 It was pouring for a whole week in Jerusalem.
  • 12:56 And we were on our way to Masada
  • 12:58 but the roads were flooded out.
  • 13:00 Tell us a little bit what it's like in Israel
  • 13:02 right now, this year as far as you know.
  • 13:05 From experience, telling our friends
  • 13:08 and even our family that we were going to Israel
  • 13:10 There was a lot of concern.
  • 13:12 They were worried that we were going.
  • 13:14 And there's so much peace there,
  • 13:16 almost more than here in America.
  • 13:18 I think we felt safer walking around the streets of Jerusalem
  • 13:23 than we in Missouri.
  • 13:25 I know that sounds horrible
  • 13:26 but I think it's true.
  • 13:28 And a lot of peace knowing that our son lives there
  • 13:30 and he just loves it.
  • 13:32 So do you experience the food...is the...
  • 13:35 Ohhhh! I need a falafel right now.
  • 13:37 [Laughing]
  • 13:38 We were inboxing on Facebook with our son just yesterday.
  • 13:41 And he said, I just found the best falafel place ever.
  • 13:44 And I said, Okay, we're going when we get back.
  • 13:47 And we miss humus and the pita bread, and the salads.
  • 13:51 She tried to make it the other day.
  • 13:52 Tried!
  • 13:53 Woops!
  • 13:54 I did make humus!
  • 13:55 It wasn't quite the same
  • 13:56 but I appreciate you trying.
  • 13:57 Thank you!
  • 13:59 Wayne - Where's your favorite place to go in Israel?
  • 14:01 Ahhh - there's so many.
  • 14:04 Favorite?
  • 14:06 This might sound so strange.
  • 14:07 When we were just there I wanted to see real Jerusalem
  • 14:12 where everyone worked and where they ate.
  • 14:14 And one of my favorite spots was
  • 14:16 The "Shuk" [Shook], The Old Market.
  • 14:18 Have you been?
  • 14:19 No, but I've heard so many people speak about that.
  • 14:22 That has so much activity going on.
  • 14:24 It's amazing.
  • 14:25 We went Thursday night, right before Shabbat.
  • 14:27 And everyone is gathering up their food.
  • 14:29 The produce is phenomenal.
  • 14:31 It's colorful, it's loud, people are active.
  • 14:34 And I - honestly I think that's one of my favorite spots.
  • 14:36 It was fun.
  • 14:37 That's where you get a chance to
  • 14:39 negotiate prices when you're buying things, right?
  • 14:40 And I didn't because I didn't know.
  • 14:42 We're learning about shekels
  • 14:43 and how much this is worth
  • 14:45 and I didn't want to, you know... get in a fight,
  • 14:47 but we loved it!
  • 14:50 And it was your non-tour spot
  • 14:51 so it was just where the Israelis were
  • 14:53 in there shopping and doing life
  • 14:55 and it was just amazing.
  • 14:57 How are the Israeli people?
  • 14:58 They're wonderful.
  • 14:59 They're thriving.
  • 15:01 And they love that Americans are going over
  • 15:04 and we care about them.
  • 15:06 They sense that we love their Country.
  • 15:09 And I think our Churches are starting
  • 15:12 to grasp what it's like to
  • 15:15 go over and to pray for them.
  • 15:18 It's a sense of pride and gratitude
  • 15:20 at the same time that Americans
  • 15:22 are taking such an interest in Israel, isn't it?
  • 15:25 It is and that's why everyone needs to
  • 15:26 support this ministry Zola Levitt Ministries
  • 15:29 because what we're doing for Israel and for the Jewish people.
  • 15:33 Myles, right now, will give you information
  • 15:36 how you can support Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 15:42 You know, as we're bringing you these
  • 15:43 previews of what's upcoming
  • 15:45 we want to take you a little bit behind the scenes
  • 15:46 and find out how we pay for these programs.
  • 15:48 It's expensive to do television in Israel
  • 15:51 and bring these programs to you.
  • 15:53 And so my guest today is Ray Gary from "I Donate".
  • 15:55 Thank you Ray for being with us.
  • 15:57 It's a pleasure to be here.
  • 15:58 Tell our viewers a little bit about your background.
  • 16:00 How did you come into this non-profit funding world?
  • 16:03 Well, Myles my entire background in business
  • 16:06 had been on the "for" profit side.
  • 16:08 I had worked in various technology companies over the years...
  • 16:11 really for about 28 years or so.
  • 16:13 And I had gone through the Halftime Institute
  • 16:16 where I had met Bob Buford.
  • 16:17 And I came out of that with the realization
  • 16:20 that while I had spent the majority of
  • 16:23 the first half of my life kind of
  • 16:24 focused on success and ambition
  • 16:26 I really needed to re calibrate and think about something to do
  • 16:29 that was significant that really mattered
  • 16:31 and that really put my talents in uses
  • 16:33 together for the Kingdom and for the Lord.
  • 16:36 Best of both worlds.
  • 16:37 Yeah, and so I met through that process
  • 16:39 which of course was providential.
  • 16:41 I met some guys with the National Christian Foundation
  • 16:43 that were experimenting with this idea of
  • 16:46 opening up the idea of giving non-cash.
  • 16:49 And I had a venture capital background
  • 16:51 so I just got kind of enthralled when
  • 16:53 I looked at the numbers and saw there was
  • 16:55 40 Billion Dollars given every single year in non-cash
  • 16:58 and yet faith based organizations were
  • 17:00 getting less than 8 per cent of that.
  • 17:01 What do you mean by "non-cash"?
  • 17:03 Give our viewers an idea of what that is.
  • 17:04 Sure, the IRS classifies non-cash as things like
  • 17:08 vehicles, boats, jewelry, real estate, electronics, collectibles.
  • 17:15 There's about 12 to 13 asset classes
  • 17:17 that make up about 40 Billion Dollars a year.
  • 17:19 People don't realize that there's
  • 17:20 40 Billion Dollars a year given in non-cash,
  • 17:23 but it doesn't go to faith based organizations.
  • 17:26 How do you explain that?
  • 17:27 You know the best explanation I can give you for it
  • 17:30 is they don't ask.
  • 17:32 WOW
  • 17:33 And I always like to tell the story, very quickly,
  • 17:36 of an Easter lunch conversation
  • 17:38 when I'm with 20 family members
  • 17:40 all of which are believers.
  • 17:42 And we're sitting around the table
  • 17:43 and they're talking about they haven't
  • 17:44 given their car over the years.
  • 17:46 And I said, who did you give it to?
  • 17:47 And they would mention some organization on the radio.
  • 17:49 And I said, well why didn't you give it to your church?
  • 17:51 Or...Why didn't you give it to this
  • 17:52 organization that you cared about?
  • 17:53 And they said, Well I didn't know you could.
  • 17:55 And so I think we just don't ask for those kind of things.
  • 17:58 So part of what you're doing
  • 18:00 is not like building a platform electronically
  • 18:02 for people to give
  • 18:04 but also educating people about how to
  • 18:06 give more and more efficiently...
  • 18:08 more generously.
  • 18:09 There's no question,
  • 18:11 that's the biggest missing ingredient
  • 18:12 is you have to first educate somebody that says,
  • 18:15 Did you know that you could give a mink coat?
  • 18:17 Did you know that you could give an RV?
  • 18:19 Did you know that you could get stock
  • 18:21 and not pay capital gains so that you can
  • 18:23 give more to your organization?
  • 18:25 And then you have to inspire them to give.
  • 18:27 And you do that through story telling
  • 18:29 and through tying the impact of
  • 18:31 You mean an RV actually paid for 24 orphanages?
  • 18:35 Or something like that.
  • 18:36 And then of course ask for the conversion or ask for the gift.
  • 18:39 But there is an education and
  • 18:41 an inspiration piece on the front end.
  • 18:42 In congregational life we always say
  • 18:44 that 20 per cent of the people do 80 per cent of the work.
  • 18:47 20 per cent of the people do 80 per cent of the giving.
  • 18:49 But you have some astounding statistics
  • 18:52 about the percentage of giving in the United States.
  • 18:55 Can you tell us about that?
  • 18:56 Oh, Yeah...
  • 18:57 Well one of the things that just kind of
  • 18:59 reached out and grabbed me early on
  • 19:00 was when I was doing all the research...
  • 19:02 like that's kind of like it was wired.
  • 19:05 I was doing all the research.
  • 19:07 I learned that from a giving standpoint
  • 19:09 the charitable industry is about a 350 Billion Dollar industry.
  • 19:12 But if we look at giving as a per cent
  • 19:14 of our Personal Disposable Income
  • 19:15 we give 2 per cent.
  • 19:17 And what's more radical than that,
  • 19:19 we've given at 2 per cent or less
  • 19:21 for the last 6 or 7 decades.
  • 19:23 If you saw a line it would be flat.
  • 19:24 And then when you add on top of that our household wealth,
  • 19:28 last year it was 89 Trillion
  • 19:29 meaning the stuff that we have.
  • 19:31 We give at a rate of a half of a per cent of our wealth.
  • 19:34 This is shocking.
  • 19:35 No, it's amazing.
  • 19:37 And then just to give you a couple more data points,
  • 19:39 I looked at the self storage industry.
  • 19:42 You wouldn't think about it
  • 19:43 but do you know how much we spend on rentals?
  • 19:45 I hate to think of it.
  • 19:46 22 Billion a year.
  • 19:48 Just to keep stuff in boxes somewhere.
  • 19:50 1 in 10 Americans have one.
  • 19:52 We spend 22 Billion Dollars a year.
  • 19:53 If you took all the self storage in the United States
  • 19:55 it would be 3 Manhattan Islands.
  • 19:57 Ah... Astounding.
  • 19:59 So we're overwhelmed with stuff and
  • 20:02 our houses are getting bigger
  • 20:04 yet according to a UCLA study
  • 20:06 75 per cent of the people can't even use their garage.
  • 20:09 I know.
  • 20:10 I have a friend who says...
  • 20:11 America is the only place...
  • 20:12 He's a missionary around the world.
  • 20:13 He said, this is the only country where
  • 20:14 people have a $60,000 car in the driveway
  • 20:16 and they can't put it in the garage.
  • 20:17 It's full of junk.
  • 20:18 Right...right.
  • 20:20 So our viewers are very generous.
  • 20:21 They want to support us.
  • 20:22 Tell us - How do they do that?
  • 20:24 What's the best way?
  • 20:25 Simplest way is just to go to your web site.
  • 20:26 When they click "Give" they'll see
  • 20:28 the opportunity to give cash
  • 20:29 or they'll see the opportunity to give non-cash.
  • 20:31 And we have a simple process that walks you through that.
  • 20:34 Dependent upon what they give you'll get
  • 20:36 instructions in an email that tells you
  • 20:38 that somebody will be showing up to
  • 20:39 arrange the title transfer
  • 20:41 or a box will be arriving for your cell phone.
  • 20:43 And if you have any problems whatsoever
  • 20:45 there's a phone number where you can just simply call in.
  • 20:47 That's great.
  • 20:48 Now I love to give.
  • 20:49 My Dad taught me that.
  • 20:51 Why should our people give?
  • 20:53 What's the payoff for our people?
  • 20:55 Well as you know,
  • 20:56 as we know as believers
  • 20:58 the real joy is in the giving.
  • 21:01 And what we find more and more
  • 21:04 and what we see that just really excites us is
  • 21:06 when people give stuff,
  • 21:08 people give things of value
  • 21:10 verses just sending $100 on a VISA card
  • 21:13 or something like that that's sentimental or they've attached to.
  • 21:16 And then they know that RV or that mink coat
  • 21:18 or that grain, that commodity
  • 21:20 can actually make a difference in the non-profit's life
  • 21:23 there's just a different emotion and joy
  • 21:25 and there's also a liberation sometimes
  • 21:27 of getting rid of stuff that you're carry around.
  • 21:29 Just the liberation factor.
  • 21:31 That's good.
  • 21:32 So I would encourage your folks to go to the site,
  • 21:34 pray about what to give
  • 21:37 and feel free to just give anything of value to your organization.
  • 21:41 And what we do is we simply convert those things into dollars
  • 21:45 and then to the impact of your ministry.
  • 21:47 That is so good.
  • 21:49 Well, you heard it here.
  • 21:50 We want to encourage you
  • 21:51 to give to Zola Levitt Ministries.
  • 21:53 We want to continue to bring you quality programs from Israel.
  • 21:56 And so thank you for listening.
  • 21:58 Ray, thanks so much.
  • 21:59 You bet, pleasure to be here.
  • 22:11 Next week we start our brand new series
  • 22:13 "Close Encounters with Yeshua".
  • 22:15 We will have some dramas
  • 22:17 and an interview with a Messianic believer.
  • 22:19 Here are some excerpts now.
  • 22:23 Peter's denial brought so much confusion
  • 22:26 because it pointed out
  • 22:28 that any one of us could deny the faith.
  • 22:30 Right
  • 22:31 There's always a struggle between the soul and the Spirit.
  • 22:34 And he was wanting like you said,
  • 22:36 the Jewish people wanted a Kingdom now.
  • 22:39 They wanted Yeshua to reign now.
  • 22:42 And He was setting up a different world view.
  • 22:44 It's such a different picture for us
  • 22:47 than for the Jewish people as a whole
  • 22:48 because Israel believes in a national salvation,
  • 22:52 the day coming, a Messianic Kingdom,
  • 22:54 when the entire nation will serve God and it
  • 22:57 will be a time of peace and no war.
  • 22:59 And so it's different than the idea of individual >>salvation that I think
  • 23:02 Christians are used to thinking about.
  • 23:04 It's important to remember that
  • 23:07 every single event in this trial,
  • 23:10 this scourging, the torture,
  • 23:13 the crucifixion, the death,
  • 23:15 the burial, the resurrection
  • 23:17 all of it is prophesied in the Bible.
  • 23:20 There's no way that these events
  • 23:22 could have happened in the life of one man
  • 23:25 unless God was in charge of it all.
  • 23:28 So I said, "Jesus?"
  • 23:29 And the next line was, I invite you into my heart.
  • 23:32 I invite you into my heart
  • 23:34 I ask you to forgive me for my sins.
  • 23:37 I had no idea what my sins were but I said these words.
  • 23:40 WOW
  • 23:41 Until you see the holiness of God
  • 23:43 you can't even recognize your sin.
  • 23:45 And so I said this and then I said,
  • 23:48 I ask you to save me.
  • 23:50 And that was it.
  • 23:52 And immediately I felt...
  • 23:55 I knew I was in the presence of truth.
  • 23:57 It was like the Spirit of Truth was in the room.
  • 24:01 And it pierced my heart.
  • 24:03 It pierced beyond every intellectual objection
  • 24:07 I'd ever had to Christianity, the Name of Jesus.
  • 24:09 It defied all my pre-conceived ideas.
  • 24:13 And somehow I knew I had touched on the truth.
  • 24:17 The perception of most Israeli Jews
  • 24:20 and most Jews from around the world,
  • 24:22 that a Jewish person who believes in Jesus,
  • 24:26 in Yeshua, is no longer a Jew, they become a Christian.
  • 24:28 And if you ask any Messianic Jew in the world
  • 24:31 they'll tell you that's absolutely not true.
  • 24:33 They are more Jewish than they were before they accepted Yeshua
  • 24:36 and they're more Zionistic, and
  • 24:37 they love the country and they love God and they love His Word
  • 24:39 more than ever.
  • 24:40 So this is a deep perception.
  • 24:42 It goes back to the terrible things
  • 24:44 that have been done to the Jewish people
  • 24:45 thru the centuries by so-called "Christians"
  • 24:48 and even by the Church itself.
  • 24:49 But I specifically like Ezekiel 36:24
  • 24:53 where He says, I will gather you
  • 24:54 from all the countries that I've scattered you
  • 24:56 and then I will pour out...
  • 24:58 I will take out the heart of stone.
  • 25:00 I'll put in a new heart, a new spirit I'll put within you.
  • 25:03 And I feel that I'm a part of that as a believer.
  • 25:05 And this is just I think the first fruits of the rest of the harvest.
  • 25:10 How much it makes me happy,
  • 25:13 or how much it makes the Lord happy
  • 25:15 when there are conflicts outside of the church between Arab and Jews
  • 25:20 and you see them hugging and loving each other through Christ.
  • 25:24 Yes
  • 25:25 If you do not have Christ you cannot love anyone.
  • 25:28 So the way to love Jews and Jews to love Arab
  • 25:32 and everyone love everyone...
  • 25:34 through Jesus...Amen
  • 25:36 Yes.
  • 26:04 It takes a long time to produce our weekly program.
  • 26:06 We want it to be the very best it can be each week for you.
  • 26:10 The interviews are wonderful.
  • 26:12 And it's hard to put those into a 30 minute program each week.
  • 26:16 So what we've done is put the whole interview on our website.
  • 26:19 All you have to do is click on to that
  • 26:22 and you can see the whole interview.
  • 26:24 I know we're new faces.
  • 26:26 But we promise that the content will remain.
  • 26:29 The shows coming up are wonderful.
  • 26:32 Myles and Katharine will be on location
  • 26:34 in Jerusalem and throughout the Country of Israel teaching.
  • 26:38 And we will remain focused on what
  • 26:40 Zola Levitt, our wonderful founder wanted,
  • 26:43 to bring Christianity through Jewish eyes.
  • 26:47 That will never change.
  • 26:49 Well, as has already been said,
  • 26:51 Zola Levitt Presents has been on the air for 38 years.
  • 26:55 Unbelievable - WOW.
  • 26:56 And we hope for many more.
  • 26:58 Yes
  • 26:59 We can't say for sure how many
  • 27:00 because we just don't know when the Lord may return.
  • 27:04 It Could be tomorrow.
  • 27:05 Unbelievable.
  • 27:07 So, all of that being said,
  • 27:08 are you two going to be
  • 27:10 closing this program the way has always been done traditionally?
  • 27:14 We've been working on our Hebrew.
  • 27:16 We have a little bit.
  • 27:17 But we have this one down.
