  • 00:02 The issue is not Israel and I think Americans should wake up to reality.
  • 00:06 The reality is that Iran develops capability
  • 00:09 in order to advance their mega-historical goal,
  • 00:13 domination of the Gulf and the Sunni Muslim world.
  • 00:16 In order to attain that goal they have to remove what they perceive to be the mega-obstacle
  • 00:22 which has nothing to do with Israel.
  • 00:24 It's the U.S. military power projection.
  • 00:33 This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come.
  • 00:39 Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived.
  • 00:47 But continue in the Holy Scriptures
  • 00:50 which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
  • 01:10 Shalom and welcome to our program...I'm Myles Weiss
  • 01:12 And I'm Katharine Weiss
  • 01:14 We hope you're enjoying our new set.
  • 01:16 It's the year of "the open door" in Hebrew...5774
  • 01:20 And so here we are...
  • 01:21 a new set...a new open door for us to bring you the same message with the same meaning
  • 01:26 because God is on the move.
  • 01:28 Yeshua said in Matthew 25 that He would gather the nations to judge them
  • 01:32 and we're seeing that setup in the world today aren't we?
  • 01:35 Absolutely...we need to view current events through the lens of the scripture.
  • 01:39 And like you always said Myles the headlines are catching up with the Bible.
  • 01:43 Exactly...we have the final word in scripture so we know it's a good story.
  • 01:47 It has a happy ending.
  • 01:49 We're in good shape but there may be some bumps along the way.
  • 01:51 In this program today we're going to hear from two fantastic speakers;
  • 01:55 Bill Koenig of "watch.org"
  • 01:58 and Yoram Ettinger who is an Israeli spokesman...
  • 02:00 a "think tank", a consultant and one of the greatest voices today
  • 02:05 regarding politics and the way they're shaping up to really line up with the scriptures.
  • 02:09 So without any further ado
  • 02:11 let's go to Todd Baker our staff theologian as he interviews these two men.
  • 02:17 Well it's a very interesting perspective because Obama said over and over again
  • 02:21 especially since March of last year that he has Israel's back.
  • 02:25 And at the same time he's been putting people in positions
  • 02:28 such as Chuck Hagel and John Brennan in the CIA.
  • 02:32 Samantha Power is his UN Ambassador
  • 02:36 and also Susan Rice is the National Security Counsel Head..
  • 02:41 that are not extremely pro-Israel.
  • 02:43 So that obviously concerned a lot of us.
  • 02:45 At the same time Obama's reassuring the people
  • 02:48 and especially the Jewish people that helped put him in office.
  • 02:51 He ran a brilliant campaign
  • 02:53 and that's really how he got elected not only in 2008 but in 2012 as well.
  • 02:57 So from our Biblical lens we're concerned about the fact
  • 03:03 that the recent deal in Geneva with the P5
  • 03:08 which is the five members of the UN Security Council...
  • 03:11 Russian, China, France, Britain and the United States
  • 03:16 and Germany the plus one is a bad deal.
  • 03:20 It's a bad deal for Israel; it's a bad deal for the Middle East but a good deal for Iran.
  • 03:25 So we started to look at the scriptures more carefully
  • 03:27 and obviously that's the lens which we watch the Middle East
  • 03:31 and we looked at Jeremiah 49:35-39...
  • 03:35 Okay
  • 03:38 ...which is a very interesting area of prophecy that's not talked about very often
  • 03:43 but it talks about Elam which is Persian which would be Iran.
  • 03:48 And this particular area speaks of Elam being devastated
  • 03:52 in a conflict where they will be broken...
  • 03:55 which the bow, their military, the missile launching...
  • 03:58 that they will deal and experience a devastating blow.
  • 04:02 And as you see the week that they are meeting in Geneva, Switzerland
  • 04:06 Khamenei and Ruwani and the other leaders of Iran
  • 04:11 were speaking horrible things about Israel.
  • 04:14 They called them a rabid dog.
  • 04:15 They were saying we're going to eliminate this Zionist entity.
  • 04:18 This is at the same time the International Community is negotiating in Geneva.
  • 04:21 That should be immediately a reason for them to step away...
  • 04:24 That's a big red flag right there.
  • 04:26 Exactly
  • 04:27 So as Bible prophecy is, what is written will happen
  • 04:31 and that's why we're looking as they LORD is allowing this leadership in Iran
  • 04:37 to become more boisterous and vocal and more...
  • 04:41 Militant...
  • 04:42 ...Militant
  • 04:43 That He is going to allow this to happen
  • 04:45 and they're going to experience in my belief a devastating defeat.
  • 04:49 Their people will be spread far and wide
  • 04:52 and that the Gospel will be spread throughout Iran like never before.
  • 04:57 Amen
  • 04:59 Well you know and I'm sure you've heard of the historical analogy
  • 05:02 Obama suing for "peace" with Iran is like Nevelle Chamberlain in 1938 in Munich.
  • 05:11 We have peace in our time and he waived the white paper.
  • 05:13 I kind of see the same thing being done today with this recent new deal with Iran.
  • 05:18 What are your thoughts on that?
  • 05:20 I absolutely agree with you.
  • 05:22 We're hearing a lot of people talk about that.
  • 05:24 People in Israel, within the administration, and also Charles Krauthammer.
  • 05:28 A lot of us appreciate his work here in the states with FOX.
  • 05:32 He said the same thing.
  • 05:33 A lot of people are comparing the Chamberlain/Hitler agreement
  • 05:36 with the U.S. P5 Groups deal with Iran.
  • 05:42 A lot of parallels...I mean do you not see this as a dangerous entity?
  • 05:47 Do you not realize that 56% of the world's oil is right there
  • 05:52 in the Persian Gulf and inside of Iraq and inside of Saudi Arabia?
  • 05:56 Do you not know that this is a conflict between Shia Islam and Sunni Islam?
  • 06:01 Do you know for the fact that Saudi Arabia is petrified of a nuclear Iran?
  • 06:06 They believe that they will be second after Israel.
  • 06:10 Do you not read...
  • 06:12 I mean this Intel...
  • 06:14 I mean do you not believe the Intel that you're reading
  • 06:16 about this dangerous precedent that's being set in the Persian Gulf?
  • 06:20 And if Iran controls that oil through the Persian Gulf
  • 06:23 it will bring the world economies to their knees.
  • 06:26 It's flabbergasting really to be honest with you.
  • 06:29 Correct me if I'm wrong...
  • 06:31 this agreement also still allows Iran to continue with nuclear enrichment.
  • 06:38 Yes, enrichment...
  • 06:39 I believe it's up to 5 percent...
  • 06:42 it might be up to 20 percent
  • 06:44 but basically everything they've pretty much have already been working on
  • 06:48 they have another 6 month period of pretty much work that they need to be in their estimation
  • 06:57 needs to complete the weaponry of the development of their nuclear bomb.
  • 07:03 I don't have all the specifics but I do read to summarize it...
  • 07:07 yes those things that were most crucial in terms of stopping this
  • 07:13 will not really be addressed fully until about 6 months out
  • 07:17 and very likely Iran will already be finished.
  • 07:22 You know it reminds me of when President Clinton was negotiating with North Korea
  • 07:27 and he believed they're going to stop their endeavor to try to get nuclear weaponry
  • 07:32 and they made a deal and of course we know that North Korea reneged on it.
  • 07:37 Well that's a perfect parallel.
  • 07:39 Senator Cruz brought that out this week.
  • 07:41 He did a great job of explaining the Clinton hopes
  • 07:45 with the 1994 agreement with Korea and North Korea
  • 07:49 and the fact that it hasn't worked at all.
  • 07:52 And the other sad irony to this is the fact that North Korea is working very closely with Iran
  • 07:59 That's true
  • 08:00 ...on how to disguise your program
  • 08:02 and also they believe that a lot of the potential missile launching capabilities
  • 08:07 will be perfected in that North Korean-Iranian relationship
  • 08:12 without anything being done on Iran's shore
  • 08:16 in terms of a longer more sophisticated missile.
  • 08:19 I do know for a fact that Iran has made significant inroads over the last 24 to 36 months
  • 08:29 in as far as their short term...
  • 08:31 I should put it this way...
  • 08:33 short range missile capabilities that puts those Persian Gulf countries at risk.
  • 08:39 This is a great interest and a great concern to those countries because...
  • 08:43 and that's from one of Israel's top missile experts, Uzi Rubin
  • 08:48 who helped develop the aero-missile defense system.
  • 08:51 He's the one that said they made incredible leaps in technology over the last few years
  • 08:56 and that has a lot of people concerned.
  • 08:59 And then the ICBM is what North Korea and Iran is working on that would put Europe
  • 09:03 as well as Russia and the United States at risk of a long range future nuclear target.
  • 09:12 Well we're certainly right at the threshold of so many end time events
  • 09:17 and all of this that's going on is certainly precipitating that isn't it?
  • 09:21 Well its right there you know.
  • 09:23 The time clock is Jerusalem.
  • 09:26 That's God's time clock
  • 09:27 and the nations of the world are still obsessed with the dividing of the land of Israel.
  • 09:32 Let's put it this way, the nations of the world, the leadership of the world
  • 09:39 wants to make Judea and Samaria an Arab state.
  • 09:46 It is so important to understand Israel in these times that we're living in.
  • 09:50 If we don't understand the view of Israel according to scripture...
  • 09:54 it's like taking the hands off the clock
  • 09:57 and we won't know what time we're in in this prophetic time that we're standing in.
  • 10:01 That's exactly right...Israel is the prophetic time clock.
  • 10:04 And as things are intensifying in the earth and as the nations are setting up
  • 10:09 getting ready to come against Jerusalem according to scripture
  • 10:11 good news as well...
  • 10:13 Hormoz Shariat, a good friend of ours is preaching the Gospel every evening into Iran
  • 10:18 and so there are people getting saved by the hundreds sometimes by the thousands
  • 10:21 because of the Gospel going forth into Iran in Farsi in their own language.
  • 10:27 And it's a wonderful story that we never hear about. That's right
  • 10:29 And so you need to know that there are good things happening among the Persian people.
  • 10:33 We'll be back after this.

  • 12:32 He is an ambassador level voice, he's an insider and he runs a think tank in Israel.
  • 12:37 So let's go to that interview now.
  • 12:41 Well in my assessment this agreement reflects determination by the Whitehouse
  • 12:46 to learn from history by repeating rather than avoiding mistakes...
  • 12:54 mistakes which were committed in the negotiation with North Korea.
  • 13:00 The fact is that for 50 years the current methodology was used also with North Korea
  • 13:07 and the output is very obvious...
  • 13:10 another anti-American rogue regime with nuclear power in North Korea.
  • 13:18 For 50 years they tried negotiation and diplomacy
  • 13:21 and economic sanctions and carrots and sticks
  • 13:25 and they were testing to no avail.
  • 13:28 For the last 30 years the same methodology has been employed with Iran
  • 13:33 and here we are at the end of the last lap of the Iranian nuclear marathon.
  • 13:39 And once again we hear that there's a chance for diplomacy
  • 13:44 as if we haven't had a 50 year and a 30 year track record.
  • 13:48 The other concerning issue is that this agreement could very well catapult Iran
  • 13:56 from a medium size tactical controllable threat
  • 14:01 to a supersize uncontrollable strategic threat
  • 14:07 with apocalyptic vision which does not render itself to mutual assured destruction.
  • 14:14 The difference between a nuclear Iran and a nuclear Soviet Union
  • 14:20 is the Soviet Union were constrained by their own concern for mutual assured destruction.
  • 14:27 The apocalyptic nature of the Iranian regime
  • 14:31 does not lend itself to be concerned about mutual assured destruction
  • 14:36 and we can get a glimpse of what is this regime all about when we go back to the war against Iraq
  • 14:42 where they sent 500,000 youngsters to clear mine fields
  • 14:48 in order to facilitate the war against Iraq.
  • 14:51 There are those who claim that Iran is just like North Korea no big danger to the global safety.
  • 14:58 The difference is North Korea does not harbor any imperialistic megalomaniac
  • 15:04 aspirations to control Asia, to control the world.
  • 15:08 Iran does...Iran wants to dominate the Gulf,
  • 15:11 Iran wants to dominate the Sunni Muslim world;
  • 15:14 Iran wants to dominate consequently the rest of the world.
  • 15:18 This has been their world view and therefore a nuclear Iran
  • 15:22 would build more insanity to an already increasingly insane world.
  • 15:28 Yeah and Iran has always said before and now after this deal
  • 15:34 which I think is no better than the deal that Neville Chamberlain made with Hitler
  • 15:39 and we saw where that went.
  • 15:41 Iran has stated from the outset and continues to state
  • 15:44 that one of their first objectives is to destroy Israel.
  • 15:48 Well the issue is not Israel and I think that Americans should wake up to a reality.
  • 15:53 The reality is that Iran develops the capability
  • 15:57 in order to advance their mega historical goal
  • 16:01 domination of the Gulf and the Sunni Muslim world.
  • 16:03 In order to attain that goal they have to remove what they perceive to be the mega obstacle
  • 16:10 which has nothing to do with Israel...
  • 16:12 it's the U.S. military power projection in the Gulf,
  • 16:15 in the Indian Ocean, the Middle East at large.
  • 16:18 And in order to remove that mega obstacle they develop the mega capability which is nuclear.
  • 16:25 It has nothing to do with Israel,
  • 16:27 not the Arab-Israeli conflict,
  • 16:29 not the Palestinian issue.
  • 16:31 The problem is that the U.S. negotiates with Iran
  • 16:35 as if Iran is a rogue regime which considers peaceful coexistence.
  • 16:41 With such rogue regimes it pays off to negotiate but Iran is a different type of rogue regime.
  • 16:47 While they negotiate with John Kerry and Obama
  • 16:51 they support the killing of Americans in Afghanistan,
  • 16:54 they support subversion in the pro-American Arab oil producing regimes in the Persian Gulf,
  • 17:01 they collaborate with Venezuela to stir up anti-American feeling sentiments in Latin America,
  • 17:09 they are the number one patron of anti-American Islamic terrorism
  • 17:14 including scores of sleeper cells in your own continent
  • 17:19 and at the same we hear that they are partners to a peaceful negotiation...
  • 17:23 Peaceful negotiation and the Ayatollah's regime in Tehran are a classic case of oxymoron.
  • 17:32 Yes and there certainly is a clear and present danger now.
  • 17:36 You had referenced North Korea,
  • 17:39 and Obama I think is making the same mistake President Clinton made
  • 17:43 when he thought he could negotiate with North Korea and get them to cut back
  • 17:48 and altogether stop their nuclear program and of course they were stringing him along.
  • 17:52 Well in fact the leader of the chief negotiator with North Korea is exactly...
  • 17:58 Oh I didn't know that.
  • 18:00 ...the same person who could today negotiate with Iran, Miss Wendy Sherman.
  • 18:04 Miss Wendy Sherman was Mr. Clinton's chief negotiator.
  • 18:08 She failed miserably with North Korea.
  • 18:11 She is given now another chance and guess what?
  • 18:14 She's following exactly the same path of once again concessions, once again appeasement,
  • 18:21 one again diplomacy and testing intentions which did not work with North Korea,
  • 18:27 has not worked with Iran
  • 18:29 and there's no reason why one should think logically it will work again with Iran.
  • 18:37 Well in light of this of course
  • 18:39 Benjamin Netanyahu Prime Minister of Israel has boldly and courageously stood up and denounced this.
  • 18:45 What will Israel do in light of let's say Iran continues down a road of nuclear acquisition.
  • 18:55 What do you see the state of Israel doing?
  • 18:57 Well it seems to me that again after 30 years of failed economic sanctions and diplomacy
  • 19:03 this is the time to reach a common sense conclusion.
  • 19:08 And the common sense conclusion is that those who are intimidated by threat of war
  • 19:14 are bringing war in fact that much closer to the free world
  • 19:19 and therefore there is only one working option.
  • 19:23 And this is pre-emption, a military pre-emption
  • 19:26 and I emphasize... with no boots on the ground.
  • 19:29 There's no need to employ boots on the ground.
  • 19:33 If one wants to obliterate the nuclear infrastructure in Iran
  • 19:39 it would be much easier for the U.S. but it will be also possible for Israel.
  • 19:44 For the U.S. you have a huge military presence in Bahrain,
  • 19:49 in Saudi Arabia, in the Persian Gulf, in the Indian Ocean.
  • 19:53 It would be a medium sized military exercise

  • 22:19 as the only stable and reliable and capable commercially and militarily,
  • 22:24 the only democratic and most importantly the only unconditional ally of the U.S.
  • 22:31 And while the U.S. is in retreat from Iraq and Afghanistan
  • 22:35 and cuts dramatically the defense budget while the threats to the U.S. are mounting

  • 22:47 the only element in the entire world that can breach the gap
  • 22:52 between the shortening American strategic hand on one hand
  • 22:56 and the increasing threats and the needs is Israel.
  • 23:01 And therefore the alliance between U.S.A. and Israel
  • 23:05 is much more appropriate and natural at this time of the Arab Tsunami and the Iranian threat.
  • 23:12 The tragedy is that this agreement signed with nuclear Iran...
  • 23:18 this agreement is in line with American policy visa with Syria and visa with Egypt, etc.
  • 23:24 proves once again that the American Administration

  • 24:18 that luckily the American political system does not allow for a monarch...
  • 24:24 Right...

  • 24:30 And today we experience unprecedented
  • 24:33 U.S - Israel strategic cooperation, economic cooperation

  • 24:43 but primarily because this is the will of the American people,
  • 24:47 this is the will of their representatives on Capitol Hill, the House and the Senate

  • 25:25 I so appreciate Yoram Etinger's viewpoint.
  • 25:27 He speaks politically yet you can hear the wisdom of the word behind what he's saying
  • 25:32 and really he draws a parallel,
  • 25:34 the connection between America and Israel
  • 25:37 and the importance of that shared destiny...doesn't he?
  • 25:40 Yeah, they're the people of the Book...right?

  • 25:53 The world always wants to focus on giving the Palestinians a nation and dividing Israel
  • 26:00 but there's a real danger in that.

  • 26:08 would align themselves with what God wants for them
  • 26:11 which is to absorb these Palestinians into their nation
  • 26:16 there wouldn't be such a war going on Myles.
  • 26:19 It's a big prayer that we're reaching for

  • 26:42 In fact we have a friend that we just sent to Israel
  • 26:45 to help harvest the grapes with the orthodox Jews
  • 26:47 in the mountains of Samaria in the heartland of Israel.
  • 26:51 That's fulfilling scripture.
  • 26:52 And scripture is being fulfilled.
  • 26:53 Even the Rabbis in the mountains of Samaria have said
  • 26:56 that this is of God, this prophetic ending is of God.
  • 26:59 Zachariah 12:9 tells us
  • 27:01 (Speaking Hebrew)
  • 27:05 The nations will come against Jerusalem.
  • 27:08 And that's why in these days more than ever
  • 27:10 we need to stand with the people of Israel and with the City of Jerusalem.
