  • 05:28 translations put it.
  • 05:29 What is Yeshua referring to when he gives this prophetic word to
  • 05:33 the church of Pergamum?
  • 05:34 You know, in times past in the city of Pergamum, there was a
  • 05:37 temple to Zeus, and the altar there was referred to as Zeus's
  • 05:41 throne by unbelievers.
  • 05:44 They would call it Satan's throne, because they knew that
  • 05:46 Zeus and Satan were synonymous with one another.
  • 05:49 And there was a bronze bull that adorned the top of this altar,
  • 05:53 and it was here where Antipas was made a martyr, because they
  • 05:56 would perform sacrifices.
  • 05:57 He was killed for being a Christian.
  • 05:59 Joshua: You know, ironically enough, that same altar was
  • 06:01 being constructed shortly after the time period that Antiochus
  • 06:04 Epiphany IV committed the first abomination of desolation in
  • 06:08 167 BC.
  • 06:10 This mirrored that idol of Zeus that was erected in the Temple
  • 06:14 in Jerusalem, only on a much larger scale.
  • 06:27 Caleb: It's a moving sight.
  • 06:29 People come through the Holocaust Museum, and this is
  • 06:31 the conclusion, to see the life that is at the end of the
  • 06:35 tunnel, the literal light at the end of the tunnel.
  • 06:37 Well, back to our story, guys.
  • 06:39 In the late 1800s German archaeologists and engineers
  • 06:42 discovered the ruins of that Pergamum altar in the city of
  • 06:45 Pergamum, and they took it apart and they brought it back
  • 06:48 to Germany.
  • 06:50 They created this whole museum around it, and they rebuilt
  • 06:52 the ruins.
  • 06:54 Well, Albert Speer, Hitler's right-hand man, would go to that
  • 06:57 museum, and he would stare at those ruins, and he was drawn to
  • 06:59 the power he believed in those ruins.
  • 07:01 So, he designed the Zeppelin Tribune in Nuremberg.
  • 07:05 He designed it to look just like that Pergamum altar.
  • 07:08 And from there, Hitler posted these Nazi rallies with hundreds
  • 07:12 of thousands of Nazis in attendance.
  • 07:14 And from that podium, Hitler announced his Final Solution for
  • 07:18 the Jewish people.
  • 07:19 Joshua: Many Bible prophecy experts believe that the Beast
  • 07:22 might utilize this throne.
  • 07:24 In fact, that throne has been mobile many times in history.
  • 07:27 In fact, when we refer to the prophecies of Antiochus
  • 07:31 Epiphanes in Daniel 11, It may be the Pergamum altar that
  • 07:34 he uses.
  • 07:35 It may be that they desecrate the brazen altar and wrap this
  • 07:38 throne completely around it.
  • 07:41 Caleb: Either way, it's a foreshadowing of the darkness
  • 07:43 to come.
  • 07:44 Daniel Joshua: 11:32 through 35, "But the people who know their
  • 07:48 God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
  • 07:51 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many:

  • 08:06 refine them, to purify them, and to make them white, until the
  • 08:10 time of the end: because it is still for the appointed time."
  • 08:13 Joshua: Behind us you can see a beautiful monument to those Jews
  • 08:17 who stood and fought against Hitler and lost their lives
  • 08:20 during World War II.
  • 08:21 Caleb: I believe it's significant because of the
  • 08:23 scripture that we just read in Daniel.
  • 08:26 It's a parallel prophecy, guys.
  • 08:28 It's referring to the Jews who fought Antiochus Epiphanes
  • 08:31 during that time of captivity, but it also parallels a future
  • 08:37 battle, if you will, of the saints who fight against the
  • 08:39 Beast during the tribulation.
  • 08:42 You see, in an ironic twist of fate, during the first three and
  • 08:45 a half years of the tribulation, the Jews are not
  • 08:47 being persecuted.
  • 08:49 They're worshipping Elohim in the Beit HaMikdash, the Temple
  • 08:52 in Jerusalem.
  • 08:53 Joshua: This huge contingent of saints that he just spoke about
  • 08:58 is made up of those counterfeit Christians before the Rapture,
  • 09:03 those who had said they believed in Yeshua, but had not fully
  • 09:06 committed their heart.
  • 09:08 At this point in time they will have one final opportunity.
  • 09:12 They will either choose Yeshua and give their life for him, or
  • 09:17 they will fight for the Beast and lose it forever.
  • 09:19 Caleb: It appears that most of these saints actually go to war
  • 09:22 with the Beast in their own way.

  • 09:45 They carry out great exploits for Yeshua.
  • 09:48 But near the end of the tribulation, most of them
  • 09:50 are beheaded.
  • 09:52 Revelation 6 says, "When he opened the fifth seal, I saw

  • 17:58 protected from the Beast when he comes in like a flood,
  • 18:01 destroying nations.
  • 18:03 It says, "He [the Beast]
  • 18:04 will also invade the Beautiful Land.
  • 18:07 Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab, and the leaders of
  • 18:11 Ammon [Jordan] will be delivered from his hand."
  • 18:14 Guys, next week we're going to talk about Yeshua's deliverance
  • 18:16 when he finally comes to save not just those people in Basra,
  • 18:20 but he's gonna finish the Beast once and for all.
  • 18:24 The tribulation saints, they do suffer, but it's necessary for
  • 18:28 them to gain access into heaven.
  • 18:30 Their act of faith is taken for righteousness, and
  • 18:32 they're purified.
  • 18:34 I know this sounds heavy, but-- oh, wait, Jeff.
  • 18:37 Joshua: Hey!
  • 18:38 Caleb: Let's see what he has to say.
  • 18:41 Dr. Jeffrey Seif: Well, you earned your living
  • 18:43 today, gentlemen.
  • 18:44 This is a tough story.
  • 18:46 Better you than me to have to tell it, to tell you the truth.
  • 18:48 I don't even like thinking about it.
  • 18:50 The Bible does talk about trouble in the world, trouble in
  • 18:53 River City, and to be sure, the Jews have been the object of it
  • 18:56 through time and circumstance, but it culminates at the ragged
  • 18:59 edge of time.
  • 19:01 And so, it is so appropriate to look at this subject in
  • 19:03 conjunction with the roadmap to Armageddon.
  • 19:06 You told the stuff-- the tough story.
  • 19:09 It leaves me a little somber, but truth be known, per Daniel,
  • 19:13 that the wicked forces prevail until such a time as the Lord
  • 19:18 presents and then displaces the evil kingdom.
  • 19:21 Hey, I get the bad news, but I'm in love with the good news.
  • 19:26 "I was watching: and the same horn was making war against the
  • 19:30 saints, and prevailing against them, until the Ancient of Days
  • 19:35 came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most
  • 19:40 High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom."
  • 19:49 Joshua: It's a very tough subject.
  • 19:51 It's a very deeply disturbing idea.
  • 19:54 Anti-Semitism, if you look at it, doesn't have a logical basis
  • 19:58 throughout history for why so many people groups have had such
  • 20:01 a deep hatred.
  • 20:03 We want to investigate this because we want to show that the
  • 20:06 root of this comes from Satan, that it can't just happen out of
  • 20:09 thin air.
  • 20:11 And that's why we have our guest today.
  • 20:12 Caleb: Yeah, Olivier Melnick, he's really an expert in the
  • 20:15 subject of anti-Semitism.
  • 20:17 That's the focus of his ministry.
  • 20:18 He's going to tell us more about the history of anti-Semitism.
  • 20:24 Olivier Melnick: Let me start by giving you quickly, I think it's
  • 20:27 important, my definition of anti-Semitism, because that will
  • 20:30 set the stage.
  • 20:31 My definition of anti-Semitism-- and the first two words are key.
  • 20:36 Anti-Semitism is the demonic and irrational hatred of the Jewish
  • 20:40 people and of Israel characterized by thoughts,
  • 20:44 words, and or deeds against them.
  • 20:47 And the two keywords again are demonic and irrational.
  • 20:51 Only Satan can make the irrational look and
  • 20:53 sound rational.
  • 20:54 And it is demonic, it is from Satan because-- and going back
  • 20:58 to the Tribulation now-- he wants-- he knows that at the end
  • 21:01 of the seven year tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble, the
  • 21:04 Jewish people will corporately say, Blessed is he who comes in
  • 21:07 the name of the Lord, baruch haba b'Shem Adonai, and that's
  • 21:10 when Yeshua comes back.
  • 21:12 A lot-- most Christians actually don't know that Jesus, Yeshua,
  • 21:15 does not return, not the Rapture, the Second Coming, does
  • 21:19 not return until the Jewish people call on him.
  • 21:22 And that's connected to Zechariah 12:10.
  • 21:25 And so, what we have here is Satan knows that his career is
  • 21:30 going to be ended when Yeshua returns, and he doesn't really
  • 21:37 care for his retirement plan.
  • 21:38 He doesn't like where he's going.
  • 21:40 So, if he could stop the Jews from calling on Jesus,
  • 21:43 then his job is safe.
  • 21:46 He's gonna keep his job, and Jesus is not coming back.
  • 21:49 So, that's what he's been doing for 2,000 years, more than that.
  • 21:52 He's been behind anti-Semitism, and he's going to try-- he tried
  • 21:56 at the first coming to stop Jesus from coming, and he's
  • 21:59 going to try again.
  • 22:00 And he's not going to succeed.
  • 22:02 But casualties, unfortunately, will take place.
  • 22:04 And the casualties that we-- when it comes to the Jewish
  • 22:08 people, we look at them from Zechariah 13:8 and 9, that
  • 22:12 two-thirds of the Jewish people will die during the tribulation,
  • 22:16 and one-third will be refined as silver and gold, and that's that
  • 22:20 one-third that will say, "Blessed is you who comes the
  • 22:22 name of the Lord" at the end of the seven years.
  • 22:25 That one-third is going to be become the Israel of God of
  • 22:29 Galatians 6:16, and the important part, if I may add one
  • 22:34 more thing, the important part about that scripture, the first
  • 22:37 time I saw that scripture I got really upset.
  • 22:39 I told my wife, she's the one who led me to the Lord 40 years
  • 22:42 ago, and early on I said, you know, I don't like this.
  • 22:45 This is-- two-thirds of the Jews are going to be killed during
  • 22:47 the tribulation.
  • 22:49 If it happens today, that's more than the Holocaust.
  • 22:51 That's 10 million out of 15 million, and the Holocaust was
  • 22:54 6 million.
  • 22:56 I don't like this, but it's part of the Word.
  • 22:57 So, I can't take it out.
  • 22:58 I can't rewrite the Bible.
  • 23:00 And then she said, "Think about it, it's a percentage, not
  • 23:04 a number."
  • 23:05 And I go like, "So what?"
  • 23:07 And she said, "Well, if it's a percentage, if we lead Jewish
  • 23:10 people to their Messiah before the rapture, they'll come
  • 23:12 with us.
  • 23:14 That percentage remains the same, two to one, but their
  • 23:16 number can be reduced."
  • 23:18 And that got me encouraged.
  • 23:19 And now I'm really excited about getting my people saved.
  • 23:22 Joshua: It's amazing you said that.
  • 23:23 I was actually going to bring that up without you having to
  • 23:25 ask it.
  • 23:27 We talk all the time on the show about the importance of
  • 23:28 witnessing to the Jewish people is that we can't change the
  • 23:32 two-thirds, but we can change the pool that it's drawing from.
  • 23:35 And two-thirds of ten people is way different than two-thirds of
  • 23:39 ten million people.
  • 23:40 And so, that understanding that there's coming a day where this
  • 23:43 is going to happen, that puts a timeline that we need to get
  • 23:46 to work.
  • 23:48 Instead of being afraid, instead of saying I don't know how to,
  • 23:51 we need to truly minister to the Jewish people and share the love
  • 23:54 of Yeshua with them.
  • 23:56 David: Yad Vashem is one of the places that we take you on our
  • 23:59 tour, and it's a place that we cannot not take people to
  • 24:04 because it's part of Jewish history.
  • 24:06 Kirsten: You can't understand modern day Israel if you don't
  • 24:09 understand the horrors that they walked through to get them to
  • 24:12 where they are now.
  • 24:13 But unfortunately, as horrible as the Holocaust was, there are
  • 24:18 worse days coming, which just breaks my heart.
  • 24:22 Caleb: The worst is yet to come, Jeremiah 30, verse 7, the eth
  • 24:25 sarah hi le Yaakov, the time of Jacob's trouble.
  • 24:29 This is the time when the Beast with his full hatred unleashes
  • 24:32 through that harlot of Babylon murder, death, destruction on
  • 24:36 the Jewish people and on the saints of God.
  • 24:39 Joshua: Revelation 17:6 says, "I saw the woman, drunk with the
  • 24:42 blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus."
  • 24:46 Revelation 18:24 says, "And in her was found the blood of the
  • 24:49 prophets and saints, and of all those who were slain on earth."
  • 24:52 These are the saints who have chosen Yeshua, but don't have
  • 24:57 the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, of the Ruach HaKadosh,
  • 25:00 for the Jewish people who believed but after the fact of
  • 25:03 the rapture who were stuck in this tribulation.
  • 25:05 And this time, where God pours out his wrath on those who've
  • 25:08 received the mark and who've chosen Satan, it's the most
  • 25:12 intense in history of mankind.
  • 25:14 Kirsten: It's horrific.
  • 25:16 Joshua: Revelation 12:11 says, "And they overcame him by the
  • 25:18 blood of the Lamb and by the word of his testimony, and they
  • 25:21 loved not their lives unto death."
  • 25:23 These saints who choose him, who don't have the Holy Spirit,
  • 25:28 their life is their sacrifice.
  • 25:31 They give their very life for Yeshua, and that is what
  • 25:35 cleanses them.
  • 25:36 Kirsten: I was just going to say it seems so horrible.
  • 25:39 These beautiful-- I mean, you are Jewish, your people have
  • 25:43 been called out for such a special purpose throughout
  • 25:47 history, from almost the beginning of time.
  • 25:50 And, you know, all these horrible things have happened to
  • 25:53 them through the centuries.
  • 25:55 The Holocaust, one of the worst ever, as you can literally see
  • 25:59 at Yad Vashem where you walked.
  • 26:01 And to think, it's like, gosh, isn't enough enough for the
  • 26:05 Jewish people?
  • 26:06 That they still have to endure this?
  • 26:07 Caleb: The stubborn hearts, it takes a lot to soften them for
  • 26:10 them to finally accept and receive Yeshua.
  • 26:13 Zechariah 13:8 through 9 describes two-thirds perish
  • 26:15 during this three and a half years, this time of
  • 26:18 Jacob's trouble.
  • 26:19 And then at the end that one-third is refined by
  • 26:22 the fire.
  • 26:23 They call upon the name of the Lord, and they're finally saved,
