Caption transcript for Thy Kingdom Come (2018): “Overview” (1/12)

  • 00:02 On today's program our Founder, Zola Levitt teaches on
  • 00:04 the glorious future for all who believe in Messiah,
  • 00:07 coming up right now on Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:15 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved,
  • 00:22 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
  • 00:25 for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
  • 00:47 Welcome to Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:50 I'm Kirsten Hart.
  • 00:51 And I am David Hart.
  • 00:52 Welcome to our series "Thy Kingdom Come"
  • 00:54 which first aired in 2001
  • 00:57 Zola teaches on the future events
  • 00:59 awaiting all believers in Yeshua.
  • 01:01 It's going to be a wonderful series
  • 01:03 and the best part is we have
  • 01:04 Dr. Jeffrey Seif with us.
  • 01:06 We do.
  • 01:07 And your title right now right? is senior theologian.
  • 01:10 Sounds very boring,
  • 01:11 but it's great to be with you.
  • 01:13 But I want to say it's not senior in age but in knowledge.
  • 01:15 Is that good?
  • 01:17 You're kind but it still sounds boring.
  • 01:19 But the series isn't boring.
  • 01:21 The future of believers is so exciting.
  • 01:24 And that's what we're here to learn about from Zola.
  • 01:27 Yeah
  • 01:28 Why should we study this?
  • 01:29 Zola's been gone a long time.
  • 01:31 The Bible is timeless to bring out the ancient word.
  • 01:33 Zola is still a contemporary voice, a Jewish voice.
  • 01:35 And I know viewers are gonna love it.
  • 01:37 Good.
  • 01:38 We'll have a lot more with Dr Seif,
  • 01:39 but right now let's go to Israel.
  • 01:42 You know, I would have liked to go to the Lord's 40 day Bible School.
  • 01:47 I'm talking about after His resurrection
  • 01:49 When He was with His disciples.
  • 01:51 in Acts 1:3 it says,
  • 02:05 What did He teach him when He had less than six weeks to go?
  • 02:09 Prophecy.
  • 02:10 Prophecy is what separates the Bible from every other book,
  • 02:14 every religious writing, I don't care who wrote it.
  • 02:17 They don't accurately forecast the future.
  • 02:19 Only the Bible accurately forecasts the future.
  • 02:22 And then there's some controversy over future things.
  • 02:25 Different people have a different system of events in prophecy.
  • 02:29 Let me assure you of this,
  • 02:31 in this series the future of believers,
  • 02:33 the prophecy of what's going to happen to us who are saved,
  • 02:36 all of my system, so called, is from Scripture
  • 02:40 and I'll give you Chapter and Verse.
  • 02:41 I'm going to be reading quite a bit of Scripture in this series because
  • 02:44 it's what backs up what I say.
  • 02:48 I don't have emotional feelings about this
  • 02:51 as some people do.
  • 02:52 I mean, they want the Church to go through the Tribulation because
  • 02:54 we deserve punishment, or something like this.
  • 02:56 That doesn't enter into it.
  • 02:59 I'm going to give you what I find in the Scripture
  • 03:00 and I'm going to site chapter and verse as usual.
  • 03:03 So you can verify it yourself.
  • 03:06 Now, why are we studying all the time what happens to the unbeliever?
  • 03:10 You know, when we hear a sermon on prophecy, which isn't very often,
  • 03:14 after all, the Churches have about dropped the subject,
  • 03:17 likewise the seminaries.
  • 03:18 I don't know why exactly, it's the heart of Christianity.
  • 03:22 But still when we do study some prophecy we typically
  • 03:25 study the Tribulation Period, the anti-Christ, Armageddon,
  • 03:29 stuff that's going to happen to the unbeliever.
  • 03:31 Well the truth is the Bible details these things carefully as a witness.
  • 03:36 If only to wake people up,
  • 03:39 it tells you that the future without the Messiah is very bleak,
  • 03:43 that there's trouble coming.
  • 03:45 It's a little like Noah.
  • 03:47 You know the Lord compared His Second Coming,
  • 03:49 He talked about World being like in the days of Noah.
  • 03:52 Well in the days of Noah, he was building a big ship,
  • 03:55 obviously people came by but they laughed at him.
  • 03:59 They didn't stop and think,
  • 04:01 well maybe it's smart to build a big ship,
  • 04:03 maybe there's a reason he's building a ship.
  • 04:06 They could have, I mean it was a matter of life and death
  • 04:09 and so is this, the prophecy system,
  • 04:13 and here I'm talking about the second death.
  • 04:16 The Bible however, calls people's attention to dire future if you don't believe,
  • 04:20 in order to get you to consider it, in order to get you to believe.
  • 04:24 But, once we are saved it's a different matter.
  • 04:27 Now, we look forward to a very happy future,
  • 04:31 There's no question that the future of the believers is a happy one.
  • 04:35 This is the happiest subject you could teach.
  • 04:37 This is the difference between the Bible and any worldly religion.
  • 04:43 I don't care if it's Buddhism or Islam,
  • 04:47 or Judaism, or any of the others,
  • 04:49 they're all works of men.
  • 04:51 Judaism, in which I was educated,
  • 04:53 I could tell you has come down to us as
  • 04:57 nothing more than the opinion of the rabbis
  • 04:59 which as I've written in the newsletters
  • 05:02 is what happens when you turn your entire society to it's lawyers.
  • 05:06 The lawyers pile on more and more law.
  • 05:08 They take fees to apply this law.
  • 05:10 They give advice, in which they're not competent.
  • 05:13 You go from rabbi to rabbi, you get a different judgment.
  • 05:16 It's...This is not really the Judaism of the Bible,
  • 05:20 it's what the rabbi's have made of the thing,
  • 05:23 but it's gone far, far afield,
  • 05:26 but the Bible hasn't changed in all this time.
  • 05:28 And likewise the Holy writ of the other religions
  • 05:31 whether the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita, any Holy book,
  • 05:34 It's all just a book,
  • 05:37 it's just somebody's writings,
  • 05:38 somebody's opinion.
  • 05:40 And then more priests come along later and
  • 05:42 enhance those opinions with commentaries and so on.
  • 05:45 The Bible is the Bible.
  • 05:47 It's been the same,
  • 05:49 It's been preserved letter for letter
  • 05:51 as it was when the Jews preserved it for all those millennia,
  • 05:55 and it's comes down to us as exactly the Word of God that we had at the beginning.
  • 06:00 Other than minutiae differences of translations
  • 06:03 we are reading the Word of God when we read the Bible,
  • 06:06 and when we read opinions of rabbis, priests, Imams, Gurus, etc..,
  • 06:11 we're reading the works of men.
  • 06:13 That's the difference.
  • 06:14 Now in the Bible we have a bright future.
  • 06:17 You know, look at it this way.
  • 06:20 We are now living our eternal life, we believers.
  • 06:24 This is the worst part of it, no question.
  • 06:27 Well, everybody's living an eternal life, but
  • 06:30 the question is not of the fact that you will be alive,
  • 06:35 but of location.
  • 06:37 Are you going to live it with God?,
  • 06:38 or are you going to live it without God?
  • 06:40 And that is the difference of a believer
  • 06:42 and an unbeliever, most intensively.
  • 06:44 We're going to look ahead at the events
  • 06:47 of prophecy as they're given in the Scripture.
  • 06:50 And of course the first one of those
  • 06:52 is the rapture of the Church.
  • 06:53 I say the first because that is an event that comes as a surprise.
  • 06:58 Leaving out all the theological arguments
  • 07:01 for the various Scriptures that show
  • 07:05 it's before the tribulation, all the rest of it.
  • 07:08 The rapture is a surprise,
  • 07:10 it's in the twinkling of eye,
  • 07:11 it's as lightning goes across the sky.
  • 07:14 It's a sudden thing.
  • 07:15 And if it's a sudden thing it can't come after some other thing.
  • 07:19 In other words, if it has an event like following
  • 07:22 the anti-Christ signing the peace covenant with Israel,
  • 07:25 which looks like it's in the near future,
  • 07:28 if it waited for that then you would know,
  • 07:31 when the covenant was signed, the rapture's coming right up.
  • 07:35 It couldn't be at the mid Trib point
  • 07:37 of the post Trib point, for the same reason.
  • 07:38 You could just put it on a calendar.
  • 07:40 You'd be ready to go,
  • 07:42 you'd be packed for the rapture.
  • 07:43 That's not how the rapture happens.
  • 07:45 We know it's coming,
  • 07:46 we don't know when it's coming.
  • 07:48 And that is an important point about the rapture.
  • 07:50 "The" important point.
  • 07:52 And, secondly it's for all believers.
  • 07:55 This comes up time after time.
  • 07:57 When I was on the radio in the old days,
  • 07:59 and people could call in and have discussions,
  • 08:02 I had people call and tell me about the "partial" rapture.
  • 08:05 Only the good Christians were going, they said.
  • 08:07 Where are they? I said, I haven't met any.
  • 08:10 You know, the rapture is for sinners.
  • 08:14 The rapture's for the people that need help.
  • 08:16 "The physician comes to heal the sick", Jesus said.
  • 08:20 He said, "I've come to save that which was lost."
  • 08:23 He didn't go to the Temple and try to save the priesthood.
  • 08:26 They wouldn't have listened anyhow.
  • 08:27 I mean, they were lost but they thought they were saved.
  • 08:30 He went to plain folks.
  • 08:32 He went to Zacchaeus in Jericho.
  • 08:34 He went to the harlot, Mary Magdalene.
  • 08:37 He went to the Samaritan woman who
  • 08:39 had a string of husbands and a string of lovers.
  • 08:42 He went to people like that.
  • 08:45 And this is who's going in the rapture.
  • 08:48 If they were saved, they're going in the rapture.
  • 08:50 And it is not for so called "good" Christians.
  • 08:54 It's for all Christians.
  • 08:56 Every one who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation,
  • 08:59 is going in the rapture.
  • 09:01 Everyone that has not is not going.
  • 09:02 It's just that simple.
  • 09:04 You can't fly standby here.
  • 09:05 You really must have a reservation, okay?
  • 09:08 When we get to heaven, what will happen then?
  • 09:10 The first thing will be the judgment of our works.
  • 09:15 You know the judgment of our sins was accomplished at the Cross.
  • 09:17 They were all paid for.
  • 09:19 We're not going to account for our sins.
  • 09:21 Our sins are, as the Lord said,
  • 09:24 I'll remember their sin no more.
  • 09:27 A good Bible teacher told me,
  • 09:29 I've stopped saying to God, "I'll never do that again God"
  • 09:33 because He'll say, "Do what again? I don't remember."
  • 09:38 That's His position, that's what He says His position is.
  • 09:41 Now that's to our sins.
  • 09:43 Now our works are something else.
  • 09:45 Christians aren't saved simply to stand around as museum pieces.
  • 09:50 We're called "workers in a field",
  • 09:52 "soldiers in an army".
  • 09:54 We have responsibilities,
  • 09:56 we have works to do, even if we have the smallest, simplest work.
  • 09:59 Everybody has a gift to enable him to do his work, whatever it is.
  • 10:03 If I teach, then I get a gift of teaching.
  • 10:06 If you sing, then you have a gift of singing.
  • 10:09 And so it goes through the whole church.
  • 10:10 There's no question of it.
  • 10:12 The Lord though, will examine, Did we go?
  • 10:15 Did I get to Israel and
  • 10:16 stand on a mountain and teach this stuff?
  • 10:18 Or did I not go?
  • 10:20 Did you sing when they asked you to?
  • 10:22 Or did you not sing?
  • 10:23 And so on, and so on.
  • 10:24 Intensively we'll be examined as to
  • 10:27 whether our works are
  • 10:28 wood, hay and stubble, on the one hand,
  • 10:30 or gold silver and precious stones on the other
  • 10:33 That's the first thing that will happen when we get to heaven.
  • 10:37 For the rest of the Good News, stay tuned.
  • 10:39 I'll be back after this.
  • 10:49 Do you wonder about your future as a believer in the Messiah?

  • 12:07 Now let's go back to Israel to hear more from Zola Levitt.
  • 12:12 Now, going on with our future, this really gets wonderful.
  • 12:16 After that judgment seat of the righteous,
  • 12:19 when our works have been judged,
  • 12:21 the bad works taken away,
  • 12:22 We're simply perfect.
  • 12:23 Our sins are forgiven at the cross,
  • 12:25 and now any bad works are taken away,
  • 12:28 and we are pure, as Paul said,
  • 12:30 A virgin bride to present to His Lord,
  • 12:33 and we marry the Lord in the marriage supper of the Lamb.
  • 12:37 Revelation 19: 7 & 8 says,
  • 12:55 So, our righteousness imputed to us in our salvation and in the judgment seat
  • 13:02 is celebrated with this fine linen clean and white.
  • 13:06 You know, plain white was the color of the
  • 13:09 garment of the ordinary priest in the Tabernacle
  • 13:11 and in the Temples who was sacrificing.
  • 13:14 His hands were in the blood all the time.
  • 13:15 So he could also wear pure white he was considered purely righteous
  • 13:20 cause his sins were always caught up.
  • 13:22 The blood is what you need to approach God
  • 13:25 when there are sins on your conscience.
  • 13:28 Well, he was in white because he was considered sinless.
  • 13:32 We'll be in white because we shall be sinless.
  • 13:36 So that will be a great day.
  • 13:38 Then comes the Second Coming.
  • 13:41 The Second Coming of the Lord is the start of the Kingdom to come.
  • 13:44 And we come back with Him.
  • 13:47 It says, "We that are with Him" in the Scripture.
  • 13:51 That is the whole church that went to heaven in the Rapture.
  • 13:55 We return with the Lord.
  • 13:56 We are an Army this time.
  • 13:58 Here's another case where we're soldiers in an army.
  • 14:00 The Lord rides in on a white horse
  • 14:02 with a vesture, with a garment that says,
  • 14:05 "King of Kings, Lord of Lords", on the thigh of the garment.
  • 14:09 Why on the thigh?
  • 14:10 Well, He's on a horseback wearing a Jewish Prayer Shawl.
  • 14:13 So the writing on the prayer shawl is down on the thigh,
  • 14:16 and that would be at eye level for a man on horseback.
  • 14:20 So it's clear who he is.
  • 14:21 Nobody can say that they didn't see who He is.
  • 14:23 In fact, all Israel will see who He is
  • 14:26 cause it says in Zechariah 12:10
  • 14:28 They shall look upon me whom they have pierced
  • 14:30 and mourn for Him as an only son.
  • 14:32 And a Fountain of cleansing will be open to the House of David.
  • 14:35 Israel will be saved when He comes.
  • 14:37 Romans 11:26, Paul corroborates with the verse,
  • 14:41 "All Israel will be saved when the Deliverer shall come out of Zion."
  • 14:45 So in the end the surviving Jews at the end of the Tribulation
  • 14:49 will look upon Him and be saved.
  • 14:51 Well that's all any of us need to do is look upon Him and we're saved.
  • 14:55 Know that He is Messiah,
  • 14:57 and that's what they will do at that time.
  • 15:00 Now after the Second Coming the Lord has
  • 15:03 certain administrative jobs to do.
  • 15:06 First off, He sets up a Judgment Seat of the Sheep and Goats.
  • 15:10 And this will be the next program.
  • 15:12 Each one of these major headings I'm giving you
  • 15:14 as a program in the upcoming Series.
  • 15:16 Be sure to see all 12 programs because
  • 15:18 it's a one prophecy system from where we are today to eternity,
  • 15:24 through eternity.
  • 15:26 So, watch each program.
  • 15:28 But anyhow, the Lord sets up a judgment seat
  • 15:31 for the people alive at the end of the Tribulation period.
  • 15:34 They come of 2 kinds.
  • 15:36 They either are Believers or they are not Believers.
  • 15:40 And He asks the question,
  • 15:42 Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of these the least of my brethren,
  • 15:47 you have done it unto to Me.
  • 15:48 That is, He indicates by their treatment of Israel
  • 15:54 how they will be regarded in the Tribulation,
  • 15:57 at the end of it, to go to the Kingdom or to not go to the Kingdom.
  • 16:00 This is the theme of many Old Testament Books,
  • 16:03 How did you treat Israel?
  • 16:05 Isaiah's Chapter's the burden of Damascus, the burden of Egypt.
  • 16:08 It's all about how did you treat the Chosen People?
  • 16:11 We in this age with our freedom, with our many Bible translations,
  • 16:15 with our open Churches,
  • 16:17 should certainly be able to pass the test of Tribulation period Believers
  • 16:21 and be able to say to the Lord,
  • 16:23 We fed you when you were hungry,
  • 16:24 we gave you to drink when you were thirsty,
  • 16:26 we gave you clothing when you were naked,
  • 16:28 we visited you in prison.
  • 16:30 The Lord, who was in prison Himself and
  • 16:33 the Disciples who were familiar with it tell us
  • 16:36 remember them that are in bonds.
  • 16:38 And so we do.
  • 16:39 You know when we hear from prisoners in our ministry,
  • 16:42 which we often do,
  • 16:43 we send books and so forth,
  • 16:45 we honor them!
  • 16:46 You don't know if they're Disciples of the Lord.
  • 16:49 In any case, the sheep and goats are separated.
  • 16:52 The goats are bound with Satan a thousand years during the Kingdom.
  • 16:55 Now if you survive the Tribulation period but
  • 16:58 you're an unbeliever you go with the Devil.
  • 17:01 You literally go to Hell and
  • 17:03 you are with the Devil during the entire Kingdom,
  • 17:05 you don't see any of it.
  • 17:06 If you're one of the Sheep then you go on.
  • 17:08 I'm not saying you if you're watching and you are a Believer,
  • 17:11 you don't have to worry about this at all.
  • 17:13 You'll be up in Heaven with the Lord doing the
  • 17:16 Judgment Seat of Christ and the Wedding, and then
  • 17:18 you'll return with Him in the Second Coming.
  • 17:21 But if you're not a Believer now
  • 17:24 and you are convinced even by this, then believe me
  • 17:27 Once that Tribulation starts,
  • 17:30 once the anti-Christ makes a peace treaty with Israel,
  • 17:32 and people are trying to make peace treaties with Israel every week now,
  • 17:36 when one makes a peace treaty of seven years,
  • 17:39 oh Lord! receive the Messiah!
  • 17:41 Don't wait another minute.
  • 17:44 The Second Death hangs in the balance
  • 17:46 and I'm going to describe that.
  • 17:47 Anyhow, the Sheep and Goats are done, the Kingdom begins.
  • 17:52 The Lord dedicates the Temple.
  • 17:54 The beginning of the Kingdom is fascinating to me
  • 17:57 because Daniel gives a couple of numbers
  • 18:00 in his verses, Daniel 12:11 and 12,
  • 18:04 how many days to here,
  • 18:05 how many days to there.
  • 18:06 And I calculated those,
  • 18:08 and if you'll watch that program you'll see where
  • 18:10 I've concluded that the Lord holds the judgment
  • 18:12 of the sheep and goats
  • 18:14 about 30 days into the Kingdom.
  • 18:16 And He holds the Dedication of the Temple
  • 18:18 75 days into the Kingdom
  • 18:20 which is no ordinary day,
  • 18:22 it's the 25th day of Kislev, "Hanukkah".
  • 18:25 On the Feast of Dedication
  • 18:26 the Lord dedicates the millennial Temple
  • 18:29 Isn't that something?
  • 18:30 And we have a new ruling house on earth.
  • 18:33 A new place to live with our Husband the King.
  • 18:37 We're the Bride of Christ now but we'll be the Queen of the Kingdom to come,
  • 18:41 the Wife of the King!
  • 18:42 Congratulations!
  • 18:44 You're engaged.
  • 18:45 Well, when we start this Kingdom
  • 18:48 it'll be a life of just wonderful visits with the Lord,
  • 18:55 and preachings of the Lord,
  • 18:57 and visits to the Temple.
  • 18:58 And by the way, there will be sacrifices in the Kingdom.
  • 19:01 And if you doubt that, watch that program and I'll tell you why.
  • 19:04 At the end of the Kingdom there is a certain amount
  • 19:07 of mischief that starts up again
  • 19:09 because there are unbelievers born in the Kingdom.
  • 19:11 Remember those sheep from the Tribulation Period.
  • 19:14 They come into the Kingdom in their natural bodies,
  • 19:17 they marry, they are given in marriage,
  • 19:18 and they have children.
  • 19:20 Those children are born of Adam.
  • 19:21 They're born as sinners again.
  • 19:23 They marry others and other people born of Adam
  • 19:28 and slowly the unbelieving population starts to grow.
  • 19:33 And by the end of the thousand years
  • 19:34 there is one more rebellion called,
  • 19:37 The Invasion of Gog and Megog,
  • 19:39 named for the same invasion that was back in Ezekiel 38 and 39,
  • 19:43 before the Tribulation.
  • 19:45 And it's a second time, it's a replay that is,
  • 19:49 God calls it by the same name I think,
  • 19:51 in memory of the first invasion which was also
  • 19:54 an ill advice assault on Israel that goes nowhere.
  • 19:57 And then the Kingdom ends
  • 19:59 and the Great White Throne is set up.
  • 20:02 And that's our next big subject.
  • 20:03 God will judge the wicked of all ages from Adam's time.
  • 20:08 I guess Cain will be one of the wicked,
  • 20:10 well, the first of the wicked.
  • 20:12 and on out through the wicked of our time and in the Kingdom,
  • 20:16 all of those will appear.
  • 20:19 The ones bound with Satan throughout the Kingdom
  • 20:21 will appear before the Great White Throne and God will Judge them.
  • 20:25 This is called the Second Resurrection.
  • 20:27 The First Resurrection was of the Saints, of the Believers,
  • 20:30 of the Old Testament Believers,
  • 20:32 the New Testament, the Church,
  • 20:34 the Tribulation period who were beheaded for their faith.
  • 20:37 All Believers.
  • 20:38 The Second Resurrection is the unbeliever unto judgment.
  • 20:43 This is the judgment from which we are saved.
  • 20:45 When they say "Jesus Saves", most intensively,
  • 20:47 this is what He saves you from going to that court
  • 20:50 and trying to account for everything done in your life.
  • 20:53 Oh my!
  • 20:55 I would rather have the kind of case that is dismissed.
  • 20:58 When you're saved, that Court is of no threat at all.
  • 21:01 That Court is like traffic court
  • 21:03 when they say, no use you coming,
  • 21:04 the policeman didn't show up.
  • 21:06 The Case is dropped.
  • 21:07 Your case is dropped because you have a
  • 21:09 Gift Certificate to Salvation.
  • 21:11 When you have a Gift Certificate
  • 21:12 you know, you take it to the store, they give you the stuff.
  • 21:15 It's not that the stuff is free,
  • 21:17 It's that Someone went to there, that store ahead of you,
  • 21:20 and paid for it.
  • 21:21 So, that's all there is about the Great White Throne, but
  • 21:26 we'll teach it because it is at the end of the Kingdom,
  • 21:29 and the beginning of the period called Eternity.
  • 21:31 Eternity I can explain in just 3 words...
  • 21:35 No more tears
  • 21:47 Kirsten and I are always honored
  • 21:49 and excited to be at this desk
  • 21:50 with Dr. Seif
  • 21:52 We're glad that you are back with us at this table.
  • 21:55 Well, it's fun, really it is.
  • 21:57 So much to get into but first of all
  • 22:00 you told me today that you've been to Israel 50 times?
  • 22:03 Is that correct?
  • 22:04 About 50 times.
  • 22:06 How many of those with Zola would you say?
  • 22:07 I don't know, 20 or so I'd imagine - 25.
  • 22:11 I didn't get my start in ministry with Zola
  • 22:15 but I got my big start when he took me on as an intern,
  • 22:20 when I got to write my first paperback book with him.
  • 22:24 It was like - WOW.
  • 22:26 When he was doing television,
  • 22:27 when he was the principle,
  • 22:29 he would have me to do research in order
  • 22:32 to be able to contribute to what he was all about.
  • 22:35 I had a good run with Zola for a number of years.
  • 22:37 I left, took a Doctorate and became a professor.
  • 22:40 But found memories, good times, good work.
  • 22:42 And I think you know how much he
  • 22:44 loves this series that he taught
  • 22:45 back in 2001.
  • 22:47 This whole topic
  • 22:48 what happens for the Believer.
  • 22:49 Bible prophecy was important to him.
  • 22:52 It's Good News from Ancient Jews.
  • 22:54 A positive finish for human history.
  • 22:57 A lot of people, our viewers
  • 22:59 live in despair, just a hair away from
  • 23:04 discouragement, despair, disorientation,
  • 23:06 worrying about their own futures,
  • 23:08 their families and the world at large.
  • 23:10 And to take a look at the Book,
  • 23:12 the Biblical narrative,
  • 23:13 and see what God has for Believers,
  • 23:15 it's a good story to tell,
  • 23:16 though there's some road bumps.
  • 23:18 Right, and that's what the Series is.
  • 23:20 We'll learn about all those steps.
  • 23:22 I think some people
  • 23:23 have a problem with the time line.
  • 23:26 Like, when is this happening?
  • 23:27 When does that happen?
  • 23:28 And that's what this whole Series is about.
  • 23:30 Yeah, he lays it out.
  • 23:31 He gives a perspective that was popular and
  • 23:35 still is to a certain extent.
  • 23:36 It's a cogent to responsible telling
  • 23:38 of how the Bible unfolds as we look
  • 23:41 to the ragged edge of human history.
  • 23:44 Good things coming.
  • 23:44 Right.
  • 23:45 And that's what the Series is.
  • 23:47 I see in the pew in Church every week
  • 23:50 where people don't quite get about
  • 23:53 the End Times, what's happening in our world today.
  • 23:56 Well, I get it.
  • 23:57 You know, a lot of people that write
  • 23:58 books about the end of the world,
  • 24:00 I don't know whether it's just the creative
  • 24:02 imagination of the story teller.
  • 24:03 To what extent is it their imagination?
  • 24:05 To what extent is it the Biblical narrative itself?
  • 24:08 And sometimes these books on Bible prophecy
  • 24:10 aren't worth the paper they're written on ten years later.
  • 24:12 Confusion maybe?
  • 24:13 That's a fact.
  • 24:14 In all fairness it is rather confusing.
  • 24:17 It's nebulous.
  • 24:19 There's an old saying,
  • 24:20 I think it was Martin Luther who said it.
  • 24:22 The only good theology is the theology of pilgrims.
  • 24:25 Because we're all talking about a person
  • 24:27 we've never seen in a place we've never been.
  • 24:30 That said, I think Zola does a good job of
  • 24:33 wanting to look at things that are sure and true.
  • 24:36 That are relatively non-negotiable,
  • 24:39 and they serve as landmarks that we can look toward.
  • 24:42 Were Zola alive today...
  • 24:44 You know, St. Augustine at the end of his day
  • 24:47 wrote a book called "Retractions".
  • 24:49 What he says is as he grew there were ways that he wanted
  • 24:52 to adjust things that he said earlier
  • 24:54 Zola's not here to say what he might adjust.
  • 24:58 I don't think he'd adjust much.
  • 25:00 We're going to take a look at the Good Book
  • 25:02 through the eyes of Zola Levitt
  • 25:03 and I think we're going to land on
  • 25:05 pillar promises in Scripture
  • 25:07 that we need to lay hold of for our own personal lives,
  • 25:09 as well of the world to come.
  • 25:11 We have so much more to chat with you about.
  • 25:13 You are in for a treat.
  • 25:14 This is going to be a great Series.
