  • 00:04 Find next on Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:11 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved,
  • 00:18 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
  • 00:21 for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
  • 00:43 Welcome to Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:44 I am David Hart.
  • 00:46 And I'm Kirsten Hart.
  • 00:47 Jeffrey Seif!

  • 00:58 Dr. Jeffrey Seif.
  • 01:00 It's nice to be with you.
  • 01:01 Today's topic is on Judgment Day.
  • 01:04 I almost feel like it's "Dah dah dah daaaah"
  • 01:07 What? Judgment Day!
  • 01:08 Is it going to be horrible, scary?
  • 01:10 It's scary you know.
  • 01:12 That's the bad news.
  • 01:13 You want some good news?
  • 01:14 Yes! Yes!
  • 01:15 We have a lawyer!
  • 01:16 How about that?
  • 01:16 Good!
  • 01:17 The New Testament calls Christ our Advocate!
  • 01:20 Messiah, our Advocate.
  • 01:21 We're going into Court with the Son Himself.
  • 01:24 We'll come out fine.
  • 01:25 And not quilty, right?
  • 01:26 Is that what we're gonna be....?
  • 01:28 That's Good News today.
  • 01:30 Let's go hear some more Good News
  • 01:31 from our Founder, Zola Levitt, in Israel.
  • 01:36 Revelation 20:4 says,
  • 01:58 Here, obviously God is rewarding the righteous who died,
  • 02:02 who were beheaded because they believed in Jesus.
  • 02:05 They didn't take the mark of the anti-Christ,
  • 02:07 and we're talking people during the 7 year Tribulation.
  • 02:10 We're at that point in our study of the future of the Believers.
  • 02:15 And these are Believers that were outlaws actually under the anti-Christ's reign.
  • 02:21 And many were apprehended and executed for their faith.
  • 02:26 And here we read of the Lord resurrecting them.
  • 02:29 There's 4 groups of people that have to be dealt with at the end of the Tribulation.
  • 02:33 The Righteous dead, the Wicked dead.
  • 02:36 There were people who took the number of the Beast but died otherwise,
  • 02:41 say in the Battle of Armageddon or whatever,
  • 02:44 and they too are to be judged.
  • 02:46 And then there are the righteous living
  • 02:49 and the unrighteous living.
  • 02:50 There were the living people that made it through the Tribulation.
  • 02:55 They didn't take the mark.
  • 02:56 They somehow hid out.
  • 02:57 They were outlaws but never apprehended.
  • 02:59 They were taken in by people who when they needed shelter they were fed and so on.
  • 03:04 We're going to come to that.
  • 03:05 And they live through the whole thing.
  • 03:07 And they are judged at this point too.
  • 03:10 And they are called "the Sheep".
  • 03:11 And then there's the unrighteous living,
  • 03:14 those that took the number of the Beast,
  • 03:15 survived the whole Tribulation.
  • 03:17 They are judged at this time too,
  • 03:19 and they are called "the Goats".
  • 03:21 And we're gonna come to that.
  • 03:22 Psalm 96:13 says,
  • 03:32 And where does He judge?
  • 03:33 Right here!
  • 03:35 Joel 3:1-2 says,
  • 03:54 This is the Valley of Jehoshaphat,
  • 03:56 or anyway, it's around the corner from it.
  • 03:59 It starts at the far side called the Kidron Valley.
  • 04:01 It comes around behind me to the Hinnom Valley,
  • 04:04 and here is where He will judge the nations.
  • 04:07 "Nations" in Hebrew is " Goyim ",
  • 04:10 or Gentiles,
  • 04:12 there will be a great, great many Gentiles
  • 04:14 at Tribulation period population to be judged at this time.
  • 04:18 And the very word " Jehoshaphat " in Hebrew, means "Jehovah Judges"
  • 04:23 He is the Righteous Judge.
  • 04:26 First off He deals with Satan.
  • 04:29 The Devil who has confounded the unbelievers blinding them all this time.
  • 04:33 II Corinthians 4:4 deals with this.
  • 04:47 So here in this Valley first off He will gather the population
  • 04:51 and bind Satan for a thousand years.
  • 04:54 And so the sheep and goats are assembled in the Valley
  • 04:58 for the judgment by the Lord
  • 05:01 in what Joel calls the Valley of Decision.
  • 05:04 This again is for the 7 years worth of Tribulation people
  • 05:08 who are still alive, who are surviving,
  • 05:11 believers and unbelievers as it happen.
  • 05:13 We could pick this up in Matthew 25:32-33
  • 05:30 You know, you can see this acted out in Jerusalem.
  • 05:33 Up till recently there used to be sheep and goats market,
  • 05:37 kind of at the northern wall of the Temple.
  • 05:39 And the Bedouin would bring in their animals from the wilderness.
  • 05:42 They were using trucks.
  • 05:44 In the old days they drove them in, on their feet,
  • 05:47 But I saw that when they had trucks and they were
  • 05:51 running off the back of the trucks,
  • 05:53 and the baby sheep and baby goats looked somewhat alike
  • 05:56 but the sheep are much more valuable.
  • 05:58 And they have a boy standing with a stick
  • 06:00 and he carefully separates the sheep from the goats.
  • 06:02 They've been doing this for so long the Lord saw it
  • 06:05 and the people in His time saw it,
  • 06:08 and when He used this expression, He'll "separate the sheep from the goats
  • 06:11 it must have been very compelling on them indeed.
  • 06:14 And the judgment goes like this,
  • 06:26 And He's very pleased with these Believers
  • 06:28 and He says just why.
  • 06:43 They acted like Believers.
  • 06:45 They demonstrated faith
  • 06:46 by treating especially the 144,000 this way.
  • 06:50 That 144,000 are the Jewish Believers that
  • 06:55 are going around in the Tribulation testifying of Christ.
  • 06:57 They are outlaws obviously in the anti-Christ society,
  • 07:01 and when one came to your door, say at midnight,
  • 07:03 say with the police not far behind,
  • 07:05 and cried out for shelter or for food or for something,
  • 07:08 clothing, something...
  • 07:10 thirst, something to drink
  • 07:13 You could either demonstrate faith if you had faith
  • 07:17 by saying, "Alright, come in quickly",
  • 07:19 close the door, take care of him or give him food or whatever he needed.
  • 07:22 Or if you weren't a Believer you would say, "Well come on now, you,re an outlaw,"
  • 07:26 "you don't even have a number on you."
  • 07:28 "Get out of my yard. Get away from here. I don't want the police here."
  • 07:30 And you would throw them out.
  • 07:31 But that would make you a goat in this hearing.
  • 07:34 You wouldn't have treated them that way.
  • 07:37 And in their honesty the sheep answer the Lord this way,
  • 07:50 So frankly, "We never even saw you."
  • 07:53 And so He gives maxim of the judgment in verse 40.
  • 08:08 Let me translate that nice and clear for you.
  • 08:11 "If you've done it for my Jewish brothers,"
  • 08:13 "I give you credit for having done it for me."
  • 08:16 When one of those 144,000 knock on your door,
  • 08:19 or someone they had brought to faith,
  • 08:21 and you treated them well,
  • 08:23 and you took them in and you gave them what they needed,
  • 08:25 it was as if it were Me Myself.
  • 08:28 And if you turned them away it's as if you turned Me away.
  • 08:31 Gosh, He tells, "visit them that are in prison."
  • 08:33 Christ and his men were often in prison.
  • 08:36 That's part of being a Christian,
  • 08:38 especially in their time.
  • 08:40 Well, prisoners know that the Lord said,
  • 08:42 "Remember them which are in bonds."
  • 08:45 And you know when we get letters in our ministry
  • 08:46 from penitentiaries and so on,
  • 08:48 we send books, we treat them well,
  • 08:50 because the Lord recommended them to us.
  • 08:53 Paul was in prison in Phillipia and we
  • 08:56 visit his prison when we we're on the tour.
  • 09:00 You know, these goats try to answer the same way.
  • 09:03 They say, "We never even saw you. What do you mean?"
  • 09:05 "You didn't come to my door."
  • 09:07 And then the answers then the same way in verse 45.
  • 09:19 And it's if Christ came to their door and they turned Him away.
  • 09:23 Which they would, if they were unbelievers.
  • 09:25 unbelievers turned Him away often and the Apostles as well.
  • 09:28 And this one though has a punch line on it.
  • 09:31 At the end of the chapter at verse 46 it says,
  • 09:39 For those 7 years worth of people in the Tribulation,
  • 09:43 the Lord holds this entire immigration,
  • 09:46 and separates the sheep from the goats,
  • 09:48 takes the sheep into the 1,000 Year Kingdom with Him.
  • 09:51 They go in, in their natural body.
  • 09:54 That's different.
  • 09:55 We're going to bring that up.
  • 09:57 But in any case, from this point
  • 09:58 even people that were martyred are going in the Kingdom with Him.
  • 10:01 All believers are going in the Kingdom with Him.
  • 10:03 And all the wicked, dead and the living
  • 10:05 are going to be bound with the Devil,
  • 10:08 the thousand years until the Kingdom ends.
  • 10:10 Back after this.

  • 10:49 "Watch Therefore and be Ready"
  • 10:55 Sometimes the journey to Yerushalayim can be a long one.
  • 11:02 Abraham journeyed for 62 years from Ur
  • 11:05 and then offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice to God
  • 11:09 atop of Mount Moriah.
  • 11:11 The Ark of the Covenant journeyed for 500 years
  • 11:15 until it found its final resting place in King Solomon's Temple
  • 11:19 atop the very same Mount!
  • 11:21 Our journey to Yerushalayim is only complete when we
  • 11:24 can finally cast our eyes upon God's Holy Mountain.
  • 11:28 This will be a journey we will never forget.
  • 11:33 When your feet touch this Holy Ground
  • 11:36 you will know what I mean.

  • 12:09 We would love to have you on the bus with us
  • 12:11 seeing the Holy Land.
  • 12:13 Now let's go back to Zola from Israel.
  • 12:17 Well, here's the Valley of Decision.
  • 12:20 The Lord will assemble all the people from the Tribulation here.
  • 12:24 You know, this test of Israel,
  • 12:27 if you follow our ministry you know that we are constantly
  • 12:30 harping on the churches, on the seminaries,
  • 12:33 Don't forget the Holy Land!
  • 12:34 It isn't a matter of how did you treat them,
  • 12:37 it's a matter reminding you that there is a Holy Land,
  • 12:39 that there is a Promised Land,
  • 12:41 that we're going here for a thousand years, here!
  • 12:43 It's here to see.
  • 12:45 And if you go through the seminaries these days
  • 12:48 you hardly hear of Israel.
  • 12:50 At church it's just not polite to mention it.
  • 12:53 I got summoned to a church to teach Passover and
  • 12:55 I'm told by letter that "Don't mention End Times prophecy."
  • 12:59 That's a buzz word for "Don't stand there and talk about Israel."
  • 13:03 "Just teach us Passover"
  • 13:05 That's pretty tricky when you think about it
  • 13:07 since this is the Crown Jewel of God's Feasts for Israel.
  • 13:10 But anyway, you know, this is going to be the test at the end.
  • 13:14 The Lord has a lot to do at this time.
  • 13:16 When I'm saying "the end" I'm saying the end of the Tribulation,
  • 13:19 the Second Coming when the Age changes completely
  • 13:22 when the world goes over into the Thousand Year Reign.
  • 13:25 And everything will change.
  • 13:27 The Lion will lie down with the Lamb.
  • 13:29 The child will play at the snake's den.
  • 13:32 Things will be peaceful in the world.
  • 13:34 And it won't be like one comedian said, that
  • 13:38 "The Lion may well lie down with the Lamb but the Lamb won't get much sleep.
  • 13:42 No! The Lamb will sleep peacefully because the Lion will be pacified
  • 13:46 and the whole world in general will be pacified.
  • 13:49 The thing that characterizes the entire Kingdom
  • 13:51 is it's an Age of Peace right up until the very end.
  • 13:55 And we're going to talk about that.
  • 13:57 But anyhow, the Lord has some people to dispose of now,
  • 14:00 the dead and the living
  • 14:02 Revelation 20:5 deals with the dead.
  • 14:07 We've just come from Revelation 20:4
  • 14:10 which I commented before about the Believers from the Tribulation.
  • 14:14 They hadn't received the mark.
  • 14:16 They lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
  • 14:18 And then the next verse 20:5,
  • 14:27 They are bound with Satan
  • 14:29 and then the next verse 6,
  • 14:43 There are two major resurrections that are spoken of in the Gospel,
  • 14:47 The Resurrection of the Just,
  • 14:49 and the Resurrection of the Wicked,
  • 14:51 or the unrighteous, or however it's put.
  • 14:54 And the first Resurrection is of the Just, the Church,
  • 14:58 The Believers of the Tribulation.
  • 15:01 But also way back, the Believers of all time!
  • 15:04 I said Old Testament Saints.
  • 15:05 Yes, at this time the Old Testament Saints are raised.
  • 15:09 Daniel 12: 2 and 3 says,
  • 15:10 some are raised to everlasting life,
  • 15:13 some lowered to shame and contempt.
  • 15:16 The Old Testament does speak of the Resurrection,
  • 15:18 whether your Jewish friend thinks so or not.
  • 15:20 Adam will be there!
  • 15:23 Adam is part of this Resurrection.
  • 15:26 Cain and Abel will be there,
  • 15:27 and we could see easily who's the Sheep and the Goat in that case.
  • 15:31 The Prophets, the Patriarchs,
  • 15:34 people will be there from all Ages.
  • 15:38 And, you know, you think of a personality like Job,
  • 15:41 who said to God, "Appoint me a [Hebrew word],
  • 15:43 "A given time that I could be in the grave,"
  • 15:48 "and You will want the work of Your hands."
  • 15:51 "You will desire the body of Job."
  • 15:55 And he says, "And so in my flesh will I see God."
  • 15:59 Well this is the time that God will settle with people from all times,
  • 16:04 as they are Believers or Unbelievers as they
  • 16:07 go to the Kingdom or as they are bound with Satan.
  • 16:11 Zechariah 2:8-12 speaks also on Israel and judgment.
  • 16:25 He's talking about Israel.
  • 16:30 There's an expression we use all the time,
  • 16:31 "The Apple of His Eye".
  • 16:33 God uses it to talk about Israel.
  • 16:53 "Many nations", how do you like that?
  • 16:55 The nations, the Gentiles,
  • 16:57 Gosh, it goes back to Adam's time and Noah
  • 17:00 and all of those people before the Covenant with Abraham.
  • 17:03 It goes forward to the Tribulation,
  • 17:05 to the Gentiles saved in that time,
  • 17:08 and that will be a time of Gentile Salvation,
  • 17:10 and they will all be joined to the Lord and shall be His people.
  • 17:27 Indeed, God will reign from Jerusalem.
  • 17:29 Jerusalem never disappears from history - not ever!
  • 17:32 I mean, it's 3,000 years old now,
  • 17:34 it's been conquered, they say, 29 times and rebuilt.
  • 17:37 By the way, you're hearing bells and shouting in the background
  • 17:40 because there are herds in this valley.
  • 17:43 This valley is inevitably to be a Valley of Judgment
  • 17:47 was in Christ's time called " Gehenna ",
  • 17:50 it was "Hell"!
  • 17:51 It was Hell on Earth.
  • 17:52 It was a dump for the City.
  • 17:54 There was a fire going all the time,
  • 17:55 and garbage thrown out from the Gate of the Temple above, the "Dung Gate"
  • 18:00 The fire was going and the Lord used it
  • 18:03 as an image of Hell and punishment and so on.
  • 18:07 And of course in this Judgment those goats the Lord separates out
  • 18:11 will be bound with Satan in Hell indeed.
  • 18:15 It's fascinating to come here and a heard of goats comes with me,
  • 18:19 and the bells that you hear are hung around their neck
  • 18:22 so that the shepherd can keep track of them.
  • 18:25 And they here him and they know his voice,
  • 18:27 as the Lord said, "My sheep know my voice."
  • 18:29 Well, Isaiah talks about judgment in particular.
  • 18:34 He mentions the time judgment 45 times in his book.
  • 18:38 His challenge is that we trust God, believe God,
  • 18:42 and go with God to the Kingdom.
  • 18:46 And like Jerusalem on into eternity in the new Jerusalem.

  • 20:07 Do you remember?
  • 20:08 Last time we were in Jerusalem
  • 20:10 we were at our Tour Hotel,
  • 20:12 which they're wonderful by the way.
  • 20:14 And we were getting on the elevator
  • 20:16 and one of the guys said...Do you remember?
  • 20:17 Where was he from?
  • 20:19 Australia!
  • 20:20 He came up and he said,
  • 20:21 "You guys are the TV people."
  • 20:22 "I know you, I recognize you."
  • 20:24 So, Zola Levitt Presents
  • 20:25 because of your financial support
  • 20:28 literally reaches around the world.
  • 20:30 We've made some great friends around the world
  • 20:32 because of your support
  • 20:33 and we thank you for that.
  • 20:35 And Dr. Jeffrey Seif our Senior Theologian is here.
  • 20:37 You Co-Hosted, or actually Hosted
  • 20:39 the program for five years.
  • 20:41 I'm sure you were recognized everywhere.
  • 20:43 With a nose like this people don't ah,
  • 20:46 They don't long forget.
  • 20:47 But, you know, it's a great honor
  • 20:49 to be able to bring the Good News to folk beyond the pews.
  • 20:54 You know a Pastor speaks in a church
  • 20:56 and 100, 200 or 1,000 people listen.
  • 20:58 We speak and it goes out to hundreds of thousands of people.
  • 21:02 That's why, relative to the support,
  • 21:03 that's why every Pastor likes a dime to pay the mortgage,
  • 21:06 but here, the rent isn't for a house that holds 2,000,
  • 21:09 It's for a house that holds 2 million all over the world,
  • 21:13 not just for the neighborhood.
  • 21:15 Which is so exciting because those that give,
  • 21:17 and when you give you are literally touching millions of people.
  • 21:22 And that is the God's honest truth.
  • 21:24 It really is.
  • 21:25 Here's the question of the day Dr. Seif.
  • 21:28 Do we have freedom to choose our destiny
  • 21:30 in the Kingdom era?
  • 21:31 I believe that people need to have an internal locus of control.
  • 21:36 You know the old, "The Devil made me do it."
  • 21:38 "I'm driven by impulses beyond my control." never abides with me.
  • 21:42 And when I hear Paul in the Corinthian correspondence,
  • 21:48 he says in verse 9,
  • 21:57 And that is that we and you, we're deliberate.
  • 22:02 We make it our aim.
  • 22:03 We focus.
  • 22:05 We make it our desire.
  • 22:06 We don't just accidentally roll into a Christian life,
  • 22:09 "Well, I feel like going to Church today."
  • 22:12 "Well, I feel like tithing."
  • 22:14 No, we make an executive decision.
  • 22:18 We decide who we are in the world
  • 22:21 and how we're going to be in the world.
  • 22:24 And he says it here, by the way.
  • 22:25 This precedes a verse that's on the menu.
  • 22:27 It's a conjunction.
  • 22:30 He says, "We make it our aim."
  • 22:31 And then weigh in on this.
  • 22:32 I don't want to just ramble.
  • 22:33 He says,
  • 22:34 "We make it our aim to be pleasing.",
  • 22:36 that deliberateness.
  • 22:38 And then, in verse 10,
  • 22:39 "For (a conjunction) we must all appear before the Judgment Seat,"
  • 22:45 "and given an account".
  • 22:46 I was going to say,
  • 22:47 it's a good thing honestly now
  • 22:49 This might sound odd, but I'm not God.
  • 22:52 Because during this whole...
  • 22:55 especially the Thousand Year Reign of Christ,
  • 22:57 I don't understand how people could not choose Christ,
  • 23:03 and not choose to follow Him.
  • 23:04 I know He gives choice.
  • 23:05 I don't think I would.
  • 23:07 Like - "you follow me cause I'm the right way.
  • 23:09 Yeh, well there's a lot of things I don't understand.
  • 23:12 There is a Thousand Year Reign but there is a break away at the end of it,
  • 23:15 when people are given the opportunity to make a choice, they choose poorly.
  • 23:19 It's like what happens with our children oftentimes,
  • 23:21 sad to say, you know, they're in the home, they're under the dome
  • 23:25 But once they go off to college you know,
  • 23:27 they visit "Gay Paris" and they don't want to come back to the farm.
  • 23:30 It's not uncommon for people to jettison biblical faith, virtue and value
  • 23:36 when given the opportunity to do so.
  • 23:38 When they're under our tutelage there less apt,
  • 23:40 but once they're off the radar
  • 23:42 when the cat's away the mice play.
  • 23:44 It's unfortunate but it's human nature.
  • 23:46 All of us fail.
  • 23:47 Pastors fail
  • 23:49 We hear that all the time.
  • 23:50 But there's hope.
  • 23:52 There surely is.
  • 23:53 And I think we hear too much of the time that Pastors fail.
  • 23:55 And by that I mean,
  • 23:57 it becomes some rhetorical piece to denigrate Christian faith, value and virtue.
  • 24:02 "Oh, look, even the Reverends are screwed up.
  • 24:04 The truth of the matter it's greatly overstated.
  • 24:06 For every minister that bites the dust,
  • 24:10 there's a zillion out there plugging away,
  • 24:12 no TV cameras are pointing at them.
  • 24:15 There not filling up auditoriums with the thousands,
  • 24:17 just good people ministering to God's people.
  • 24:20 They never get the credit.
  • 24:22 And again, for every bad apple there's 99 good ones in the bushel.
  • 24:26 Let's talk about that.
  • 24:27 Right, and we have...
  • 24:29 I think it is beautiful.
  • 24:30 And again, I say if I were God I'd be like
  • 24:32 "You follow me", and there's no other choice.
  • 24:34 But He does give us choice.
  • 24:36 And that's why were here, to proclaim the Good News.
  • 24:41 And follow Him cause the rewards are great.
  • 24:43 Yes, and that's a very Jewish telling, by the way.

  • 25:07 The "Good Inclination",
  • 25:08 The "Bad Inclination".
  • 25:09 People need to make a choice.

  • 25:21 I tell folk, every one should be concerned about the future.

  • 25:33 Good choices.
