Episode: “The Second Coming”
There is no better place for Zola to teach about the return of the Lord than the place from where He left: the Mount of Olives.
Series: “Thy Kingdom Come (2018)”
The Future of Believers
Originally produced in 2001 and now refreshed with improved sound and picture quality, each of the 12 programs of Thy Kingdom Come searches Bible prophecy to reveal the glorious future events awaiting all Believers in Messiah. Caption transcript for Thy Kingdom Come (2018): “The Second Coming” (5/12)

  • 00:02 On today's program we take a look at the Second Coming
  • 00:03 when the Lamb of God becomes the Lion of Judah
  • 00:06 next, on Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:14 Brethren, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved,
  • 00:21 for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,
  • 00:23 for the same Lord over all
  • 00:26 is rich unto all that call upon Him.
  • 00:46 Welcome to Zola Levitt Presents.
  • 00:47 I'm David Hart.
  • 00:49 I'm Kirsten Hart
  • 00:50 Jeffrey Seif!
  • 00:51 Welcome to our series "Thy Kingdom Come"
  • 00:53 which first aired in 2001
  • 00:56 and Dr. Seif is with us today. We're so glad
  • 00:58 that you are back at this table.
  • 01:00 Glad to be back until the kingdom comes.
  • 01:02 Yes.
  • 01:03 And you have a great title, Senior Theologian.
  • 01:04 Yes a great title.
  • 01:06 It is.
  • 01:07 But you know it's overstated.
  • 01:07 I think its a good one.
  • 01:09 How can someone be an expert of God at the end of the day?
  • 01:12 Right.
  • 01:12 You know.
  • 01:13 Maybe we all will be one day. I don't know.
  • 01:16 There's a lot to master there. I've read a few books but what of it?
  • 01:19 Today's program is about the Rapture and Second Coming.
  • 01:24 Now, they are two seperate events. Right?
  • 01:27 Sometimes people confuse them and mesh them into one.
  • 01:30 Well they happen in reasonable close proximity
  • 01:34 but they are two seperate events.
  • 01:36 Zola spells it out and we'll have an opprotunity to pontificate as we go.
  • 01:40 Good.
  • 01:41 That's right.
  • 01:42 We have so much more in this program.
  • 01:44 Now let's go to Israel and hear from Zola Levitt.
  • 01:49 Well we've come today to the Mount of Olives.
  • 01:52 Which is in the words of Zechariah next to Jerusalem on the east.
  • 01:55 And indeed it is.
  • 01:56 And we are filming in a grave yard.
  • 01:59 Why so many graves around? People want to be buried where the Messiah
  • 02:04 will certainly find them when He comes in the resurrection.
  • 02:07 You can see from here the Eastern Wall of the Temple.
  • 02:11 The Golden Gate where we will enter with the Lord in the Second Coming.
  • 02:15 Of course, the site is dominated now by the Moslem Dome of the Rock, the golden dome.
  • 02:22 But there are churches on the mount and missions of all kinds.
  • 02:27 This is the center of the earth. What can I say?
  • 02:31 This is the famous location in the world over which there has been much controversy lately and in the past.
  • 02:39 You could have stood here for 4000 years and watched Jewish history.
  • 02:43 Abraham offered Isaac in sadrifice on that mountain down there.
  • 02:47 That is where the dome is traditionally.
  • 02:51 King David made his city and Soloman put the Temple where the dome is.
  • 02:55 The Second Temple was there in which the Messiah came and taught.
  • 03:00 Hadrian put up a temple of Jupiter there after the Temple was erected in 70 A.D.
  • 03:07 Then the Moslems came and they put their temple on Hadrian's pillars, this dome.
  • 03:13 Then the Crusaders rode in and they threw out the Moslems for a while and occupied the place
  • 03:20 put a cross on top of the dome and made it a church.
  • 03:24 That's the moment when there was a Christian cross on a Moslem dome on Roman pillars on Jewish land.
  • 03:31 It's a place like no other in the world.
  • 03:33 And the history goes on there.
  • 03:35 They are fighting over it today arguing who gets the mount.
  • 03:37 Of course, it's the site of the ancient Jewish Temple. No question there.
  • 03:41 That is being talked about. And then the tribulation will come.
  • 03:45 The Lord's house will come and stand in the same place again in the kingdom to come.
  • 03:50 And finally, of course, the city behind me it has no end.
  • 03:54 It will go on in eternity. God will create a new heaven and a new earth and one single city.
  • 04:00 Not a New York or not a New London or not a New Tokyo but a new Jerusalem.
  • 04:07 So this city that you see behind me, this is forever.
  • 04:11 Well, but we want to talk about the Second Coming.
  • 04:15 That day the Lord comes down from my left down this mountain.
  • 04:18 Down the Mount of Olives in through that East Gate with all His believers with him.
  • 04:24 The scene is pictured in stirring scripture in the Book of Revelation.
  • 04:27 Revelation 19 verse 11 and that says this.
  • 05:17 This is no lamb this time the Lord comes as a lion.
  • 05:32 Gooly, what a title. And why written on his thigh?
  • 05:34 We talked about it in our introductory program in this series.
  • 05:37 A name written on the thigh of a man on horseback is easily seen at eye level, you see.
  • 05:44 Then if Jesus is waering the Jewish prayer shawl, the name is right above the fringes
  • 05:50 so it will be easy for people to know who is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
  • 05:55 And, of course, amoung those people are the people on the ground.
  • 05:58 The Jewish people in Jerusalem trying to cope with Armageddon.
  • 06:01 They shall look upon him whom they've pearced and morned for him as for an only son.
  • 06:07 They will be saved as Paul says when the Deliverer shall come out of Zion.
  • 06:13 In Psalm 110 the Psalmist waxxes very eloquent. pictures it poetically.
  • 06:38 Well we say Melchizedek in English. Melchizedek in Hebrew is the King of Righteousness.
  • 06:43 And the Lord appointed him a priest. Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek.
  • 06:48 The idea being it was well before the Levites.
  • 06:52 So it wasn't a priesthood to which Abraham would owe sacrifice.
  • 06:56 But he did to Melchizedek. He is a man who God picked out for Himself to be a priest.
  • 07:03 And in like manner He chose the Messiah as well to be a priest.
  • 07:07 The scene is pictured in a day like no other. In Zechariah 14:4
  • 07:14 His feet shall stand that day upon the Mount of Olives
  • 07:17 which is next to Jerusalem on the east. Then in verse 6
  • 07:34 A very unusuall day.
  • 07:52 It's one of the most basic scriptures in the Bible.
  • 07:57 The Second Coming of Christ to start the Kingdom.
  • 08:01 God brings the Jews back to Israel for this.
  • 08:05 Deuteronomy 30:3-5 we use the scripture all the time in many contexts.
  • 08:10 The regathering of the Jews to their promised land.
  • 08:41 We use the verse in our tour brochures to invite holocaust survivors.
  • 08:45 They deserve to see the land.
  • 08:47 And the Lord said, "God will bring thee into the land which thou fathers posessed."
  • 08:51 And we feel we can do no less but to help them get here.
  • 08:54 Thank you for your support of that project.
  • 08:57 The Second Coming is the ultimate reward to the
  • 09:02 Jews and to the adopted Jews, to the Christians.
  • 09:05 That is, this is the end of God's promise to the chosen people.
  • 09:10 Their promised land, a righteous king, righteous princes and governers, and, of course,
  • 09:18 the queen of the kingdom to come, all the believers of all ages.
  • 09:22 It's a wonderful moment. It's a reward to the Jews in the sense that when He comes back,
  • 09:29 as we pointed out, the Jews will look upon Him whom they pierced and mourn for him.
  • 09:34 In other words, they will realize when He comes,
  • 09:37 the most hostile Rabbi in Jerusalem to Christanity will look in the face of Jesus Christ
  • 09:44 and be saved in a moment. He will realize this has got to happen. This is the scripture.
  • 09:51 Paul said it and Zechariah said it. You know, the Rapture and the Second Coming,
  • 09:57 that is Jesus coming first for His church and taking them out the world and then
  • 10:01 7 years later after the Tribulation, His Second Coming, those two comings that is to say
  • 10:10 His return at the end of the age, is the concern of 1 in every 25 verses in the Bible.

  • 11:48 Right now let's go back to Zola at the Mount of Olives.
  • 11:54 Okay, back to the Second Coming which is going to pass me by.
  • 11:58 If it happened right now why my gosh the Lord would pass right through here.
  • 12:01 Here are the graves. Here are the people burried to await the
  • 12:05 resurrection on the Mount of Olives.
  • 12:07 It's descibed as well in the Gospels as it is in Revelation and the Prophets.
  • 12:13 Mark is quoting the prophet Joel I think.
  • 12:32 It's quite an event obviously. One of a kind.
  • 12:50 My goodness, the Jews especialy. We said earlier He will gather
  • 12:57 the Jews and bring them to Israel. Indeed, they will have to suffer through the
  • 13:02 Tribulation and it is called in other scripture the time of Jacob's trouble.
  • 13:06 In figure the thing is really a judgement that comes down especially on the Jews.
  • 13:14 Moishe Rosen of Jews for Jesus though was saying that's it's only churches teaching
  • 13:18 about the Tribulation. He finally started to think they're talking away our Tribulation.
  • 13:23 They're saying they're going through it which isn't so.
  • 13:27 They never say that it really is hardest of all upon Israel. But it really is.
  • 13:34 We're going to come to that.
  • 13:48 Two thirds of Israel will perish in the Tribulation.
  • 14:10 In the end Israel will be saved. Then Romans 11:26 is clear.
  • 14:45 Well, you know, why all these judgements and why all this terror?
  • 14:49 Really and truely it's been earned by men who did not know the Lord was their God.
  • 14:58 Went on their own way and that is just the way of the world and how things have worked out.
  • 15:03 And it is rather sad.
  • 15:05 Zechariah 13 is just typical when he says at the end "They shall say the Lord is my God."
  • 15:15 The problem is they have not said the Lord is my God earlier than that.
  • 15:18 They have done religion. They have worn shawls. They have covered their heads.
  • 15:22 They have bowed at the Wall. They have wept. They have kept festivals.
  • 15:25 But they have not said the Lord is my God one by one by one. That is what is necessary.
  • 15:44 This is the Second Coming obviously.
  • 16:04 My goodness. Ungodly used once, twice, three, four, is it five times in a sentence.
  • 16:11 This is the reason. It's not that men are born evil.
  • 16:18 They are born in sin and the original sin goes on and it's passed to generations & so on.
  • 16:24 But the main fault that Jude points out that Zechariah points out that all of them seem to
  • 16:29 teach is they have not said the Lord is my God.
  • 16:32 Have you said that the Lord is your God?
  • 16:35 You know I don't often stop and evangelize but standing here on the Mount of Olives and
  • 16:41 thinking of the destruction to come to this city, unnecessary detruction to be honest with
  • 16:48 you. If technically everyone in the city of Jerusalem came to the Messiah today
  • 16:52 there would be peace on earth good will toward men. That would be it.
  • 16:56 We know it isn't going to happen. It is written otherwise.
  • 16:59 But still in all, I just want to say to each individual person
  • 17:03 you have to choose a side at this time. I mean it.
  • 17:06 We're coming to the end. The trouble in Israel is not really surprizing.
  • 17:10 It's the result of ungodlyness and the Prophets have said it.
  • 17:17 And it is written too that the end is near.
  • 17:20 I know people have said it for centuries and generations and so on but there are just too many
  • 17:26 signs in place to tell us the end really is here.
  • 17:30 When I teach the Lord's prophecy in Matthew 24 the famine, the pestilence, the earthquakes,
  • 17:36 the false prophets, the false christ, and so on,
  • 17:38 love waxxing cold, inequity abounding.
  • 17:42 You know I used to teach it and I used to say it isn't quite ready yet.
  • 17:45 I don't say that any more. My goodness.
  • 17:48 It's as ready now as well when I taught about disease to say one of the things. Pestilence.
  • 17:55 Golly, I was talking about Asian Flu in the 70s.
  • 17:59 I was talking about Legionaires Disease in the 80s.
  • 18:02 I was talking about AIDS in the 90s.
  • 18:04 How much worse can it get at this time with the Ebola Virus and Tuberculosis
  • 18:10 and airplanes carrying germs around the world from country to country.
  • 18:13 You know, this world could come to an end. If there were no God,
  • 18:18 I would fear that there is no future for any of us.
  • 18:21 That being true, let me say this to you. Just say to God, come into my heart.
  • 18:27 I accept His sacrifice for my sin. And lead my life for me
  • 18:33 beause I am not leading it well myself and I need Your help.
  • 18:37 I saw a sheet of paper at the house from a dear friend that
  • 18:41 said "Dear Friend, I am God. I will be taking care of your affairs today.
  • 18:47 Please know that I won't need any help from you.
  • 18:50 It's kind of a joke but really a person who is Godly and believes

  • 22:44 Satan is released and there's another battle royal to duke it out.
  • 22:49 We're safe in God's hands before all this but there is still trouble to come.
  • 22:55 How many times have we heard that time is coming today, tomorrow, next week?
  • 23:00 Any idea when that time might be?
  • 23:03 Yeah, after 1000 years has been completed.
  • 23:05 Yeah. Huh hmmm, yeah.
  • 23:06 And so what you have is just to look at the literature lierally, sequentially.
  • 23:12 Yeshua Jesus Christ has come back for the taking away of
  • 23:18 the believers in Revelation some time before this.
  • 23:21 The Rapture. We talk about being enraptured.
  • 23:25 A woman speaks of being enraptured by a man.
  • 23:28 It means to be taken, swept off your feet.
  • 23:32 Well, what we call the Rapture speaks to the time when the
  • 23:36 church, the bride is swept off of her feet to go meet the Lord in the air.
  • 23:41 But then when the Lord comes from the air with his army,
  • 23:45 those are the taken up saints for his coming.
  • 23:50 For His setting up the Kingdom where Jerusalem is central.
  • 23:55 And that goes on for some time but then at the end of that
  • 23:59 as the Bible says the cat gets let out of the bag and there's a final conflict.
  • 24:04 And that's what I don't understand.

  • 24:24 That our perspective needs to be guided by Biblical language.
