Caption transcript for Dateline Jerusalem: “Next Place of Worship” (5/10)

  • 00:08 ♪♪♪ male announcer: God could have chosen anywhere on earth,
  • 00:10 but he chose Israel.
  • 00:13 He could have revealed his redemption anywhere;
  • 00:15 he chose Jerusalem.
  • 00:18 The house of the Lord might have been any place on earth;
  • 00:21 he chose Mount Moriah.
  • 00:24 Past, present, and future, the mountain of the Lord
  • 00:27 has been a beacon of hope and remains a strategic site
  • 00:31 for the next temple of God.
  • 00:36 "Dateline Jerusalem: The Coming Temple."
  • 00:42 David Hart: We're so glad you've joined us today.
  • 00:43 We are halfway through our series,
  • 00:45 "Dateline Jerusalem."
  • 00:47 Guys, glad to have you here today.
  • 00:48 What's going on today?
  • 00:50 Caleb Colson: This is the episode I think
  • 00:51 everybody has been waiting for.
  • 00:53 All those, you know, red cow junkies and
  • 00:55 third temple shippers, we're talking about the third temple.
  • 00:58 It's coming and there's details surrounding it.
  • 01:01 It's not the joyous happy occasion everybody thinks it is.
  • 01:04 It's kind of foreboding doom to come but,
  • 01:07 hey, that's what's gonna bring people to see it, right,
  • 01:09 you know?
  • 01:10 Joshua Colson: You seem way too excited
  • 01:12 about the foreboding nature of this.
  • 01:13 Caleb: Abominations, you know, things happen.
  • 01:14 Kirsten Hart: Right, heavy stuff.
  • 01:16 We're glad that you guys are in these seats.
  • 01:17 We're also glad that Dr. Jeffrey Seif
  • 01:19 is in Jerusalem, right?
  • 01:21 David: Right, we take you right there
  • 01:23 where he is on location.
  • 01:24 Let's go there now.
  • 01:27 Dr. Jeffrey Seif: I'm coming to you from just off the beaten
  • 01:30 path in the Jewish quarter in the city of Jerusalem.
  • 01:35 I'm standing in front of an institute.
  • 01:38 Many people are walking by.
  • 01:40 They don't really know what it is, but some people do.
  • 01:45 And it is Special with a capital "S."
  • 01:48 The Temple Institute is funded by religious Jews,
  • 01:53 principally, but not exclusively;
  • 01:56 by evangelicals, too, who are supportive of their bid
  • 02:01 to rebuild the temple complex in Jerusalem.
  • 02:07 Jewish people see this as a necessary ingredient
  • 02:10 to restore Hebrew worship.
  • 02:13 And it participates in their mind's eye
  • 02:15 with the messianic era that dawns.
  • 02:18 Christian people see the remanufacture of the temple
  • 02:23 as having eschatological significance
  • 02:26 that it's significant for the Coming of the Lord
  • 02:31 for reasons that are unpacked in our program.
  • 02:34 But here I am, coming to you from the place.
  • 02:36 Actually, this story began when they came to us,
  • 02:39 to Texas, and the reason is because the Temple Institute
  • 02:43 folk had learned that, in Texas, there were red heifers
  • 02:48 without spot or blemish and they need it for the manufacture
  • 02:53 of the purification elements for the third temple.
  • 02:58 It just has to be and, according to Maimonides who is
  • 03:02 the principal Jewish sage of antiquity,
  • 03:04 the next red heifer will be the one that comes in advance
  • 03:09 of the messianic era.
  • 03:10 So there's excitement, there's a kind of messianic fervor,
  • 03:14 associated with it, and there's this rebuilding the furnishings.
  • 03:18 Inside this building, they've already built
  • 03:20 the incense altar for use in the temple; the table of shewbread;
  • 03:26 the menorah, the candelabra, is on display.
  • 03:32 They built it.
  • 03:33 You can see behind me on the sign,
  • 03:35 this is the Aron Kodesh, the ark of the covenant.
  • 03:38 The belief is, is that's going to be found before the dawn
  • 03:42 of the messianic era, that it was spirited away in the days
  • 03:44 of Jeremiah before the destruction of the temple.
  • 03:48 But the point is, we're at a place where individuals
  • 03:52 are laboring to participate in the Coming of the Lord
  • 03:55 and the rebuilding of the temple,
  • 03:57 and this is a story we're so pleased
  • 03:59 to bring to you as we look at "Dateline Jerusalem."
  • 04:05 David: In addition to the many temple vessels
  • 04:06 and artifacts inside the Temple Institute,
  • 04:09 there's another very important one,
  • 04:11 strategically placed outside, nearby,
  • 04:13 in the heart of the Jewish quarter.
  • 04:18 Dr. Jeffrey Seif: It's an enduring symbol,
  • 04:21 and it's a popular attraction.
  • 04:23 I mention that because round about me are many people
  • 04:26 looking to get a shot of this menorah, this candelabra,
  • 04:31 that sits proudly in a square in the Jewish quarter
  • 04:35 of the city of Jerusalem.
  • 04:38 It was manufactured by religious Jews from the Temple Institute
  • 04:44 who are retooling furnishings for the temple,
  • 04:51 according to the specifications of Judaism's rabbis,
  • 04:56 and so the menorah, the candelabra,
  • 04:58 you may well be familiar with it.
  • 05:00 It's one of the central articles in the Holy Place.
  • 05:04 You go back to the book Shemot, Exodus.
  • 05:06 Therein, Moshe Rabbenu, Moses, is commanded
  • 05:09 to tool a candelabra and the light was to burn in perpetuity.
  • 05:16 Of course, the light was snuffed out, historically.
  • 05:19 One of the more famous depictions using
  • 05:21 the menorah is that after the destruction of Jerusalem
  • 05:25 in 70 AD when the Romans returned to the capital city
  • 05:30 with their spoils, there's what's called
  • 05:33 the arch of triumph there, right outside of the Coliseum.
  • 05:36 It still stands, and it's a picture of the menorah
  • 05:41 that stood in the Beit Hamikdash,
  • 05:42 that stood in the temple,
  • 05:44 being taken off, and there's a sense in which
  • 05:46 with the taking off, taking away, of the candelabra,
  • 05:51 the menorah, it's like taking away the light,
  • 05:53 the life of the people of Israel.
  • 05:56 Well, it's all coming back to life now, isn't it?
  • 05:58 Not only is the city surrounded round about by visitors,
  • 06:03 Jews and Christians alike here, we're in the Jewish quarter,
  • 06:05 there's a famous synagogue behind me,
  • 06:07 and in front of it is this piece of sacred paraphernalia
  • 06:11 that is built in anticipation of it's being re-employed
  • 06:15 in a rebuilt temple, if you can imagine that.
  • 06:18 It's a fascinating story.
  • 06:20 You know, in the Newer Testament,
  • 06:21 the story is picked up on, but it's personalized.
  • 06:25 Actually, the personalizing of the light itself goes back
  • 06:28 to 2 Samuel chapter 21 where David is referred to
  • 06:32 as the lamp of Israel.
  • 06:34 David, his enthusiasm,
  • 06:36 his verve is what gave vision for the future.
  • 06:40 Jesus picks up on that theme.
  • 06:42 You might recall in the Johannine Gospel,
  • 06:44 the 8th chapter, Jesus, Yeshua said,
  • 06:48 "I am the light of the world.
  • 06:50 And those who follow Me will not walk in darkness,
  • 06:52 but will have the light of life."
  • 06:54 Well, the theme of choshek, darkness, and ohr, light,
  • 06:57 goes back to early Genesis,
  • 06:59 dispelling the darkness, bringing forth new light.
  • 07:03 It's a symbol in the Jewish world for what comes forth
  • 07:07 from the Jewish world, that is Jewish literature,
  • 07:10 biblical literature.
  • 07:12 And in biblical literature, we hear the story
  • 07:14 of the tabernacle.
  • 07:15 In the tabernacle, the story of the menorah is central,
  • 07:17 and it's become a symbol of Israel.
  • 07:19 You can find various kinds of insignia with the menorah,
  • 07:22 you know, their flags fly with it, et cetera.
  • 07:26 In fact, there was discussion about the menorah itself being,
  • 07:30 if I recall correctly, part of the flag
  • 07:32 of the nation state of Israel.
  • 07:34 Instead, the nation opted for a star,
  • 07:36 the Magen David, the Star of David.
  • 07:38 But here, I want you to see this because you're looking at one
  • 07:40 of the more popular pieces of furniture that's been recreated,
  • 07:46 according to the specifications per the understanding of the way
  • 07:49 Jews reckoned the various temple accoutrements were designed
  • 07:54 in Jesus's day.
  • 07:56 And it's an exact replica of it to those very,
  • 08:00 very specifications.
  • 08:01 And it wasn't built for tourists.
  • 08:03 It's now drawing tourists.
  • 08:04 It was built for use in a rebuilt temple.
  • 08:08 Now, this series, "Dateline Jerusalem,"
  • 08:11 takes a look at the book.
  • 08:12 We look at the Bible on one hand,
  • 08:14 we look at what's happening in Israel today.
  • 08:16 We consider what's happening on the Temple Mount,
  • 08:18 we consider what's happening around it,
  • 08:20 and it's all about getting you in touch with prophecy
  • 08:24 that is being fulfilled in our day.
  • 08:30 Caleb: In Matthew 24 we read about the Lord's reference
  • 08:33 to the temple while he's on the Temple Mount,
  • 08:35 and then, we're told, he sits down
  • 08:37 upon the adjacent Mount of Olives with his disciples.
  • 08:40 In a quandary about the signs of his return,
  • 08:43 the disciples ask the Lord about the end times.
  • 08:46 Two thousand years later, questions are still being
  • 08:48 asked upon the Mount of Olives regarding the end times
  • 08:51 and about preparations being made for the next temple.
  • 08:54 Isaac Mamo speaks further about the menorah
  • 08:57 and the subject of the red heifer.
  • 09:01 Isaac Mamo: But now everybody know,
  • 09:03 everybody want to see.
  • 09:04 It was easy to put it outside, to put a glass--
  • 09:06 you don't have to explain what is exactly, how it's done.
  • 09:10 It's simple.
  • 09:12 And I think that there is a secret answer:
  • 09:18 The menorah is the symbol of the temple.
  • 09:23 Even in Rome, when you're going under the ark,
  • 09:26 you can see everybody talk about the menorah.
  • 09:30 And why that?
  • 09:31 Because the menorah is a light.
  • 09:36 The menorah, as you know, we have--we celebrate Hanukkah
  • 09:39 every year and, actually, we have all the temples destroy
  • 09:44 and built again, and the Maccabees,
  • 09:46 and the Greek, and everything is fine.
  • 09:48 At the end of the day, how we mention the temple in Hanukkah,
  • 09:55 my hanukkiah.
  • 09:57 Hanukkiah is like the menorah.
  • 09:58 Because the menorah is a tower of light.
  • 10:01 And maybe, maybe this is the reason that the menorah
  • 10:05 going outside by God.
  • 10:09 When I was a kid, we just read about the temple.
  • 10:16 Today, my grandson, he bring me a book with a picture
  • 10:22 of the temple and ask me, "What is this?
  • 10:24 What is this?"
  • 10:25 I think that the way that the Temple Institute started
  • 10:29 publish book with the pictures and to make it reality,
  • 10:33 more people can talk about it.
  • 10:37 I can give you a good example: the red heifer.
  • 10:41 I think that 5 years ago, nobody even thought about it,
  • 10:45 and today, thank God, in less than a year,
  • 10:48 millions of people connect us and want to know
  • 10:52 about the red heifer.
  • 10:53 When you do something, when you talk about something,
  • 10:55 when you research about something,
  • 10:58 at the beginning you are, like, crazy.
  • 11:01 It takes time.
  • 11:02 And then, people connect you.
  • 11:06 David: Dr. Seif was teaching at the golden menorah
  • 11:09 and it's a place that we take you on tour.
  • 11:11 We've been there many times.
  • 11:12 It's very impressive and to think that that's part
  • 11:15 of what's coming in the third temple, yes?
  • 11:18 Kirsten: And that's the actual one.
  • 11:19 It's sitting there.
  • 11:21 We can see. We think, little menorah.
  • 11:23 It's ginormous.
  • 11:24 Caleb: You know, they plan on putting it
  • 11:26 in the third temple and the interesting thing about that,
  • 11:27 as Jeff has taught many times,
  • 11:29 is that represents the tree of life.
  • 11:31 You see the branches, you know, the seven branches of menorah.
  • 11:33 And all the temple itself was supposed to be that mirror of
  • 11:36 Eden with, you know, engraved on the golden walls are palm trees.
  • 11:40 You see the pomegranates.
  • 11:41 The Holy of Holies being the garden that's guarded
  • 11:43 by the cherubim that's engraved into that veil.
  • 11:46 It was supposed to remind man that they could return
  • 11:49 to Eden one day, even though they were cast out
  • 11:51 during the interim.
  • 11:53 Joshua: What was so interesting to me was
  • 11:55 that this third temple that we're talking about,
  • 11:57 it's not even gonna house the Shekinah,
  • 11:59 the manifest presence of God, but yet Satan is such a jerk
  • 12:03 that he's decided that he's gonna go ahead
  • 12:05 and desecrate it anyway.
  • 12:06 Caleb: It's true.
  • 12:08 We read in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 that he is going to abominate
  • 12:12 that temple.
  • 12:14 He is going to set up this idol to himself,
  • 12:16 the image of the beast, and he's going to sit down upon the
  • 12:18 kez harachamim, the mercy seat, and declare himself to be God,
  • 12:22 which means that the ark of the covenant most likely
  • 12:25 will return in that third temple.
  • 12:27 But it's very interesting, and many people ask me
  • 12:30 why I believe that the third temple
  • 12:34 will not begin construction until the peace treaty
  • 12:37 is aligned with the beast in Israel,
  • 12:39 is because in Daniel 8:14 we get a very specific timeline given,
  • 12:42 and it's the beginning of daily sacrifices to the ceasing
  • 12:47 of this abomination, when it's finally restored,
  • 12:50 which we know is the Second Coming of Yeshua.
  • 12:53 Twenty-three hundred days, it says.
  • 12:54 Well, you look at the 7-year Tribulation,
  • 12:56 360 days of a Jewish year, that's 2520 days.
  • 13:00 Subtract that 2300 days, we're doing a lot of math here,
  • 13:03 Einstein stuff, you get Day 220 is the day that sacrifices
  • 13:07 begin, the actual inauguration of a third temple.
  • 13:10 Which tells you that it's less than a year that it's gonna take
  • 13:13 for them to build the temple, which is the exact timeline
  • 13:16 that some of these rabbis are giving us.
  • 13:17 They say, "A year to build that temple."
  • 13:19 Joshua: I had no idea that prophecy required a calculator,
  • 13:22 but Caleb just proved that it's very important.
  • 13:25 Kirsten: But when you spell it out for me,
  • 13:26 I can follow that.
  • 13:27 Thank you. Caleb: Yes.
  • 13:29 Joshua: But again, you see because this is such
  • 13:30 a important thing in the enemy's plans to cause this problem,
  • 13:34 he goes to such great lengths to desecrate this.
  • 13:37 It's so important that we know his schemes and that
  • 13:39 we don't fall for his plans, by knowing what God's plans are.
  • 13:42 David: Yeah, that's good.
  • 13:43 Right now, we take you to the Southern Steps
  • 13:45 with Dr. Seif's teaching.
  • 13:47 Let's go there right now.
  • 13:50 Dr. Jeffrey Seif: Jesus spoke about the stones crying out
  • 13:52 and he surely was right.
  • 13:53 These stones are talking.
  • 13:55 They're telling us by the border here that these stones come
  • 13:57 by way of King Herod from that era.
  • 14:00 So this is actually the rocks, the stones,
  • 14:03 that were here in the temple in Jesus's day,
  • 14:05 the Herodian temple, so called.
  • 14:07 And not only are you here at the Southern Wall,
  • 14:10 but we'll get to the entrance in a second.
  • 14:13 People are more familiar with the Western Wall
  • 14:15 of the Jerusalem temple where people deposit prayer requests,
  • 14:18 but there's prayer requests deposited here
  • 14:20 'cause it's sacred to Jewish people.
  • 14:23 But the spot is sacred to people that are interested
  • 14:27 in Jesus's story because he would have gone
  • 14:29 through these very gates.
  • 14:31 You can see these arches above me.
  • 14:32 The Huldah Gates from Jesus's day.
  • 14:35 He would have walked right through here.
  • 14:41 Dr. Jeffrey Seif: Jesus walked this way.
  • 14:43 He's not the only personality with an interest in making
  • 14:47 his way through these gates.
  • 14:51 I mention that because the apostle Paul,
  • 14:53 in his Thessalonikan correspondence,
  • 14:57 gives voice to the fact that one day,
  • 15:00 future from his own day, the devil himself will enter
  • 15:04 these sacred environs and defile them.
  • 15:10 This will come in advance of the Second Coming of Christ.
  • 15:14 It's part of what we call the eschaton,
  • 15:17 the last days' events.
  • 15:19 Rabbi Paul was very clear that the temple factors
  • 15:23 into the last days because in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2
  • 15:28 he's explicit.
  • 15:30 He says that "the rebellion," that is the ultimate,
  • 15:33 you know, war against things divine,
  • 15:37 "comes first when the lawless man is revealed,
  • 15:41 the one destined to be destroyed."
  • 15:44 And it's in verse 4 where we have the temple reference.
  • 15:49 It says: "He opposes and exalts himself against every so-called
  • 15:53 god or object of worship, so that he sits in the Temple
  • 15:58 of God, and proclaims himself that he is God."
  • 16:03 And thus I say that, according to this author,
  • 16:07 at some point out in time, there's going to be
  • 16:11 a reconstituted temple within which the devil himself
  • 16:16 will walk, referred to on a few occasions
  • 16:18 in the Thessalonikan correspondence
  • 16:21 as the man of lawlessness.
  • 16:25 And it's mindful of the fact that there is going to be
  • 16:29 a temple complex at the ragged edge of time.
  • 16:31 Those who take the Bible literally and seriously see that
  • 16:35 because, in order for this to happen,
  • 16:37 what Paul describes, there has to be a temple
  • 16:40 for it to happen in.
  • 16:42 When Jews look at biblical literature,
  • 16:45 they envision a reconstituted temple,
  • 16:48 a reconstructed temple.
  • 16:50 And we're here in Israel, exploring how,
  • 16:54 amongst the religious Jews, there's a revival of interest
  • 16:57 and there's this gathering together of accoutrements
  • 17:00 necessary in order to dedicate the space,
  • 17:03 space that will be dedicated here, at this site,
  • 17:07 at some point in the future.
  • 17:10 Caleb: On previous programs we've considered
  • 17:12 how the tabernacle is a picture and pattern of worship
  • 17:14 in temples past and in the coming temple.
  • 17:17 We've seen how the altar of burnt offerings,
  • 17:19 the menorah, and the altar of incense will all have a place
  • 17:22 in the temple and, more importantly,
  • 17:24 picture the plan of salvation for Yeshua.
  • 17:27 Ariel Simms is an Israeli believer in Yeshua and a guide
  • 17:30 for the tabernacle facsimile located in Southern Israel.
  • 17:35 We asked him when he thought the third temple would be built.
  • 17:38 Ariel Simms: I know that the Bible talks
  • 17:40 about a third temple being built.
  • 17:41 It will be built, but it's not necessarily
  • 17:43 gonna be a good thing.
  • 17:47 We know that the temple will be built,
  • 17:49 but the Israelis think a lot about, you know,
  • 17:52 when the third temple is built, then the Messiah will come,
  • 17:55 which they're kind of partially correct.
  • 17:57 When the temple is built, the-- a Messiah will come
  • 18:00 but not the Messiah, not Yeshua the Messiah.
  • 18:02 It will bring the Antichrist and he's gonna come
  • 18:04 and defile the temple.
  • 18:06 So it's not gonna be necessarily a good thing, unfortunately.
  • 18:09 But it is gonna be a step closer to those end times and,
  • 18:13 when Yeshua returns and he reigns for 1000 years,
  • 18:16 he's gonna reign from the third temple
  • 18:18 and that will be his throne here.
  • 18:20 It's a little bit of time before that happens, before--
  • 18:22 until it actually comes, but we don't know exactly
  • 18:24 when it's gonna happen.
  • 18:26 Yeshua specifically says in Matthew 24,
  • 18:28 no one knows when's it gonna happen,
  • 18:30 but we can see the signs that are--that it's coming closer.
  • 18:35 Yeshua says you can look at the almond flower and know,
  • 18:40 like, you know, when the almond flower blossoms,
  • 18:42 that's when you know that spring is here--spring is coming,
  • 18:45 but spring is not quite there yet.
  • 18:47 So he compares that to, let's say, the end times.
  • 18:50 He gives us signs of wars and rumors of wars and disasters,
  • 18:55 natural disasters, and all sorts of things that are happening,
  • 18:58 that will happen, before the end times come.
  • 19:00 And we see that happening today.
  • 19:03 All around us, all around the world,
  • 19:05 tragic, devastating events that I would say are
  • 19:09 the almond flowers showing us
  • 19:11 that the end times are coming close.
  • 19:13 We see the war in Ukraine right now.
  • 19:15 We see Afghanistan.
  • 19:18 We see the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria and it's just--
  • 19:25 It's sad to see, but Yeshua warned us that it's gonna happen
  • 19:31 and this is what's coming up.
  • 19:34 Also, but also the Bible also talks about the entire world
  • 19:37 turning against Israel, eventually,
  • 19:39 and we also see that.
  • 19:41 I mean, obviously, there have always been some people,
  • 19:43 many nations, that have risen up against Israel,
  • 19:46 especially our immediate neighbors that border us.
  • 19:49 But we see it more and more, increasingly around the world,
  • 19:52 more and more--more and more, let's say,
  • 19:56 Europeans are turning against Israel.
  • 19:58 Unfortunately, no one is-- not many people are talking
  • 20:00 about anti-Semitism coming back in Europe,
  • 20:05 and even in America, no one-- the media is not talking
  • 20:08 at all about anti-Semitism in America, even though we have,
  • 20:11 obviously, an official peace treaty with America,
  • 20:14 I would say, America's our international relations
  • 20:20 best friend.
  • 20:21 But, eventually, America's gonna turn against us as well,
  • 20:25 which will be a very sad day.
  • 20:28 Caleb: I wanna make something very clear.
  • 20:30 The spirit of anti-Semitism is truly the spirit
  • 20:34 of [speaking in Hebrew] Hamashiach, Antichrist.
  • 20:37 Satan is always trying to stick it to God by annihilating
  • 20:41 his chosen people.
  • 20:42 That's the only way he can get to God's heart.
  • 20:44 And although many people have seen this third temple
  • 20:47 as a great opportunity to support Israel,
  • 20:50 to support these sacrifices, I've always seen it for what it
  • 20:53 is, a impending sign of the doom to come where Satan
  • 20:57 will utilize that to instigate the time of Jacob's trouble
  • 21:00 in which he will annihilate the Jewish people.
  • 21:03 I had the opportunity to sit down with Mark Hitchcock
  • 21:05 and ask him when these things might come to pass.
  • 21:10 Caleb: We're back again with Mark Hitchcock.
  • 21:13 Thank you for being with us.
  • 21:14 Mark Hitchcock: Thank you for having me.
  • 21:15 Glad to be with you.
  • 21:17 Caleb: There's a lot of talk today amongst believers,
  • 21:18 amongst Jews, about rebuilding the temple.
  • 21:20 A lot of interest going on.
  • 21:22 Some people think there's not gonna be another temple.
  • 21:24 Some people think the next temple's Messiah's temple.
  • 21:27 When are we gonna see this new temple show up?
  • 21:30 Mark: Well, the Bible doesn't tell us exactly
  • 21:32 when it'll show up but we do know it has to be in place
  • 21:35 before the middle of the Tribulation period.
  • 21:37 Because at the middle of the Tribulation period in
  • 21:40 Daniel 9:27, it says that "the sacrifices are gonna be ended."
  • 21:44 Well, for them to be ended, they have to be happening.
  • 21:46 So, they have to have been going on for some period of time.
  • 21:49 Now, we don't know how long
  • 21:51 before that they've been going on.
  • 21:53 So the third Jewish temple could be built there
  • 21:55 on the Temple Mount, that 36-acre Temple Mount.
  • 21:58 Could be built before the Rapture takes place.
  • 22:00 It doesn't have to be, but it could be.
  • 22:02 It can also be built after the Rapture takes place.
  • 22:05 There's gonna probably be a gap of time between the Rapture
  • 22:07 and the beginning of the Tribulation,
  • 22:09 so it can be built then.
  • 22:10 And people don't realize, too, the temple's not a big building.
  • 22:13 It's 2700 square feet inside, so it's not some,
  • 22:15 you know, huge structure to be built and it doesn't have to be
  • 22:18 built with all the opulence and extravagance
  • 22:20 of Solomon's temple.
  • 22:21 It'd just be a very simple structure.
  • 22:23 Now, part of the big problem is that the Dome of the Rock
  • 22:26 is there, and the Al-Aqsa mosque, and so,
  • 22:29 yeah, what's gonna happen-- and a lot of people say,
  • 22:31 "Well, how could they ever build a temple there?"
  • 22:32 Well, you know, 100 years ago people said,
  • 22:34 "How can the Jews ever come back to their land?"
  • 22:36 But they're there today, because of God's sovereignty, his will.
  • 22:40 And people say, "How can there ever be a temple there
  • 22:42 on the Temple Mount?"
  • 22:43 Well, God will bring it to pass.
  • 22:44 I don't know how, but he'll bring it to pass in his time,
  • 22:47 and we know it'll have to be sometime
  • 22:48 during that first part of the Tribulation,
  • 22:50 first half of the Tribulation period,
  • 22:53 and a lot of movement is afoot in Israel today
  • 22:55 to bring that to pass.
  • 22:57 So, if it happens before the Rapture,
  • 22:59 I always tell people, you know, "Lift up your heads,
  • 23:02 at your redemption drawing near."
  • 23:04 Caleb: Check your watches, guys. Mark: Get ready.
  • 23:07 Caleb: Well, thank you, Mark. That's great insight.
  • 23:09 Mark: Thank you.
  • 23:11 Caleb: Mark Hitchcock has provided a wealth of information
  • 23:14 concerning prophecy and, if you need more of that information,
  • 23:16 we have his book, "The End."
  • 23:18 It's a concise encyclopedia of all things prophetic,
  • 23:21 written in a manner that you can simply understand.
  • 23:23 We're giving this to you as a gift when you give us
  • 23:26 an offering, and also this bookmark

  • 23:41 we go to all ends to bring you the best of the best

  • 23:50 And Mark Hitchcock is one of the best out there.
  • 23:52 And we just hope that you know that you are keeping this
  • 23:57 program alive, you're keeping it going out to the complete world,

  • 24:08 So, in Hebrew, toda raba, thank you so, so much,
  • 24:12 for keeping the Word going out to the world.
  • 24:14 David: Also, I had a thought, an Ah-hah moment,
  • 24:17 a while back, actually, Sunday night.
  • 24:18 Kirsten and I had a concert and, as we were getting ready
  • 24:21 to sing, we watched this lady run up to the platform
  • 24:25 and she said, "I am so excited.
  • 24:27 I am all caught up on 'Our Jewish Roots.'"
  • 24:30 And I thought what a great story that she told us that.
  • 24:34 So if you're maybe wanting to catch up
  • 24:37 on some of our past programs, it's very easy to do.
  • 24:40 You go to levitt.com.
  • 24:41 Bearded Bible Brothers, you can find them on there,
  • 24:44 our programs from the past.
  • 24:46 Kirsten: Yeah, on our website,
  • 24:47 but also on social media.
  • 24:49 Whatever social media platform you are on,
  • 24:52 Joshua and Caleb have other secret identities.
  • 24:55 They're known as the Bearded Bible Brothers.
  • 24:57 And they have pretty much a weekly program.
  • 25:00 Get caught up on those also.
  • 25:02 So you kind of know who they are and know their heart
  • 25:04 and you are sitting in big seats right now
  • 25:07 and you're bringing forth your own prophetic words
  • 25:09 about what's coming up, and we appreciate that.
  • 25:12 Caleb: Well, this whole episode has been
  • 25:14 about kind of the abomination, this desire of Satan,
  • 25:17 ever since--Isaiah 14, ever since he was cast out of heaven,
  • 25:20 to place his throne above El Elyon,
  • 25:23 the Most High God.
  • 25:24 And as Yeshua warned in Matthew 24:15,
  • 25:27 it hasn't happened yet, this abomination.
  • 25:29 Even though Antiochus Epiphanes IV
  • 25:31 was an elaborate dress rehearsal,
  • 25:33 Daniel 9:27 is still to be fulfilled.
  • 25:35 Joshua: We can get caught up in the idea that because
  • 25:38 it's prophetic, that means there's nothing we can do
  • 25:39 to change the outcome.
  • 25:42 For instance, what's gonna happen here in the Tribulation,
  • 25:46 the Bible says it's gonna claim two-thirds of the lives
  • 25:48 of the remaining Jewish people.
  • 25:50 We don't want that to be a big number.
  • 25:53 You say, "Two-thirds? We can't change that.
  • 25:55 That's in the Word."
  • 25:57 But two-thirds of 8 million versus two-thirds
  • 26:00 of a smaller number is a completely different story.
  • 26:03 How do we get that number down?
  • 26:06 We get that number down by sharing the good news
  • 26:08 of Yeshua with the Jewish people.
  • 26:11 You have an opportunity, if you know him personally,
  • 26:14 to share him with others and that's your responsibility.
  • 26:17 If you're watching today and you've been raised
  • 26:19 to believe the Messiah hasn't come,
  • 26:21 I'm here with the great news of telling you he has come.
  • 26:24 Yeshua came and died for you.
  • 26:25 He rose again on the third day.
  • 26:27 He sits by the Father, and he's preparing a place for you,
  • 26:30 and today's the day you make the choice to commit your life
  • 26:33 to him for an eternity because he's committed his to you.
  • 26:37 Kirsten: I think that's a great idea because,
  • 26:38 honestly, before you just said that,
  • 26:41 I've never thought about that, 'cause I think we kind
  • 26:43 of figure, "Okay, how many people are in Israel right now?
  • 26:46 How many millions? Whoo, two-thirds of that."
  • 26:48 But what a great incentive that we know that number,
  • 26:52 right, or the percentage, but we have power over that darkness.
  • 26:58 We can overcome that number.
  • 27:00 Oh, that's good.
  • 27:02 David: I feel like I've been in Sunday school today, guys.
  • 27:03 Thank you for your insight.
  • 27:05 I can't believe it's time to go.
